Armor is very important in battles because armor makes monsters harder to destroy, so I take great care to armor up all monsters in my team in battles. No matter how powerful the monsters attack, they will not damage their target monster's health without destroying its armor. This shows how important armor is in battles. By the way, I would like to say that armor against Magic Attacks is useless, as Magic Attack Monsters directly damage the health of monsters. So I would say Armor works great against Melee Attacks and Ranged Attacks. I would also say it doesn't work well against Monsters with the Piercing Ability because if Melee Attack or Ranged Attack Monsters with the Piercing Ability attack damage is in excess of the target's Armor, the remainder will damage the target's health.

If I sense that there will be Ranged or Melee Attack Monsters on the opposing team, I take great care to armor up my team. We can armor the team with a summoner or a Monster with the Protect Ability. It would also be very helpful to restores some armor to the friendly Monster whose armor has taken the most damage with a Monster with the Repair Ability.

  • Protect Ability : All friendly Monsters gain +2 Armor.
  • Repair Ability : Restores some armor to the friendly Monster whose armor has taken the most damage.
  • Piercing Ability : If Melee or Ranged attack damage is in excess of the target's Armor, the remainder will damage the target's Health.

Armoring the team gives an advantage in many battles, so many players take care to armor their teams. It's really hard to destroy armored monsters with Melee Attack and Ranged Attack Monsters, so removing or lowering their armor makes it very easy to destroy them. That's why when I choose Melee or Ranged Attack Monsters, I'm especially careful to lower the armor of powerful teams, increasing my chances of defeating very powerful opponents. That's why I reduce the Armor of all enemy Monsters with a Monster with the Rust Ability, especially when I prefer Melee Attack Monsters. It becomes much easier to destroy enemies when their armor is lowered. This increases the chances of winning the battle.

  • Rust Ability : Reduces the Armor of all enemy Monsters.

I will share my three battles about it, I hope you like it.

BATTLE 1

Battle Ruleset
What Doesn’t Kill You
Super Sneak
Lost Legendaries
Only Water, Earth, Life and Dragon splinter can be used
Mana Cap 36

  • What Doesn’t Kill You rule means all Monsters have the Enrage ability.
  • Super Sneak rule means all Melee attack Monsters have the Sneak ability.
  • Lost Legendaries rule means Legendary Monsters may not be used in battles.

MY STRATEGY

When I reviewed the last 5 battles of the opposing player, they had quite powerful cards. In particular, the opposing player's Melee Attack Monsters were very powerful. Considering the battle ruleset, I decided it was more advantageous to use Melee Attack Monsters in this battle, and I could predict that the opposing player would prefer Melee Attack Monsters. So I knew this battle would be very tough for me. My team had to attack targets very powerfully and destroy them very quickly, otherwise the opposing team's attacks would have been much more brutal. First of all, I added 2 Monsters with the Double Strike Ability that can attack targets very powerfully in my team. They would be able to destroy targets much faster as they attacked twice each round. And I chose Daria Dragonscale as the Summoner so that they can attack more powerful. Daria Dragonscale is a summoner that gives +1 Melee Attack to all friendly Melee Attack Monsters. I also added a Monster with the Inspire Ability to the team so that their attack power would increase even more and they could attack targets more brutally. And reducing the armor of monsters on the opposing team would make it much easier to destroy them, so I added Noa the Just with the Rust Ability to my team. Frankly, I thought that the sooner we could destroy the monsters in the opposing team in this battle, the better my chance of winning the battle would be, so I determined my strategy accordingly.

  • Double Strike Ability : Monster attacks twice each round.
  • Inspire Ability : Gives all friendly Monsters +1 Melee attack.
  • Rust Ability : Reduces the Armor of all enemy Monsters.

BATTLE COMMENTS

To be honest, the opposing player's strategy was also very good and the opposing team was very powerful as I expected. If I hadn't reduced the armor of the monsters on the opposing team, I might not have been able to win this battle.

The lack of armor of the monsters on the opposing team's back line made them incredibly easy to destroy, and they were unable to put up any resistance against my team's powerful attacks. Even in the first round, my team managed to destroy 3 monsters on the back line of the opposing team. This show how useful it was for monsters to have armor in battles. In the second round, the opposing team's back line was destroyed and only the monster in the first position remained, and it wasn't difficult to destroy it either.

The battle lasted only 3 rounds, at the end of the battle, all the monsters on the opposing team were destroyed, while only one monster on my team was destroyed. Thanks to my strategy, my team managed to win such a tough battle quite easily. This battle clearly showed how much of an huge advantage it was to reduce the armor of the enemies in battles. I recommend watching this awesome and challenging battle in the video or battle link so you can see how much of an advantage reducing the armor of the enemies gives in some battles.

BATTLE 2

Battle Ruleset
Broken Arrows
Counterspell
Only Water, Life, Death and Dragon splinter can be used
Mana Cap 46

  • Broken Arrows rule means Ranged attack Monsters may not be used in battles.
  • Counterspell rule means All Monsters have the Magic Reflect ability.

MY STRATEGY

When I reviewed the last 5 battles of the opposing player, I saw that they had some pretty powerful cards and I knew that I would be fighting against a level 5 or level 6 summoner in this battle. Considering the battle ruleset, I could predict that armor would be very useful for the team in this battle. That's why I chose Kelya Frendul as the Summoner, Kelya Frendul is a Summoner that gives +1 Armor and +1 Speed to all friendly Monsters. In this battle, I preferred Melee Attack Monsters that can attack targets powerfully, and I added River Hellondale with the Inspire Ability to my team for them to attack more powerfully. I've also added Noa the Just with the Rust Ability to my team to reduce the armor of monsters on the opposing team. This would allow Melee Monsters to destroy targets more easily.

  • Inspire Ability : Gives all friendly Monsters +1 Melee attack.
  • Rust Ability : Reduces the Armor of all enemy Monsters.

BATTLE COMMENTS

It was remarkable that the opposing player also gave importance to armor in this battle. There was also a Monster with Rust Ability on the opposing team. But in a battle like this, I'm surprised that the opposing player prefers Magic Attack Monsters. But considering their abilities, it was not surprising at all.

It was really easy to destroy the monsters on the opposing team's back line without armor. They could not put up any resistance to my team's powerful attacks.

It was surprising that such a battle only lasted 3 rounds, while all the monsters on the opposing team were destroyed, all the monsters on my team were still alive. This battle clearly shows how much of an advantage reducing the armor of enemies can be in battles. I recommend watching this great battle in the video or battle link , so you can see how much of an advantage the Rust Ability gives in some battles.

BATTLE 3

Battle Ruleset
Lost Magic
Equal Opportunity
What Doesn’t Kill You
Only Fire, Water, Earth, Death and Dragon splinter can be used
Mana Cap 52

  • Lost Magic rule means Monsters with Magic attack may not be used in battles.
  • Equal Opportunity rule means All Monsters have the Opportunity ability.
  • What Doesn’t Kill You rule means all Monsters have the Enrage ability.

In this battle, my strategy and the result of the battle were pretty much the same as above. That's why I recommend you to watch the battle from the video or link, which I will not explain in detail. But I would be very happy if you read my opinions below.

MY OPINION

All three battles above clearly show how useful armor is to monsters in battles. That's why I take care to armor up the monsters in my team in battles. Because Armors make it harder for Melee and Ranged Attacks to destroy them. And in battles, if I prefer Melee or Ranged Attack Monsters, I take care to reduce the armor of monsters on the opposing team so that they can destroy targets more easily. It clearly shows how easily unarmored monsters are destroyed in the battles above. You can reduce the armor of all enemy Monsters with Monsters with the Rust Ability. There are 17 Monsters with the Rust Ability in Splinterlands. And Noa the Just has the Rust Ability at level 1. I add Noa the Just to my team without hesitation, especially when I prefer Melee Attack Monsters and if I have the opportunity. I'd love to upgrade my Noa the Just card to level 6, so I'm looking forward to getting new copies of the chests. Noa the Just is a monster with really cool abilities. In short, in some battles, armor up my team and reducing the armor of the monsters on the opposing team allows me to win many battles, even the most difficult ones. The battles above are an example of this, so I recommend watching the battles.
