Over 9 million Chaos Legion packs have been purchased so far in Splinterlands. Despite the bear market, such a sale in about 8 months is really a great success. For every million Chaos Legion packs sold, another character is unlocked. 8 characters have been unlocked so far, a new more character has been unlocked as 9 million pack sales have been reached today.

If you purchased Chaos Legion packs directly from Splinterlands, you can check if you got an airdrop of the new legendary summoner. And Grandmaster Rathe, the new legendary summoner in Splinterlands.

Today I logged into Splinterlands and checked the Airdrop and saw that I got one standart edition of the Grandmaster Rathe NFT card and I was pretty lucky. I can say that I am very happy to have such a powerful Summoner added to my team.

Grandmaster Rathe costs 6 mana to use on the battlefield and also gives +1 armor to all friendly Monsters. Armor is really important in a lot of battles. Having at least one armor for each monster will come in handy in most battles.

Also, Grandmaster Rathe allows all friendly Monsters to have the Void Armor Ability. In other words, all friendly Monsters receive the Void Armor Ability at the start of the battle. Void Armor Ability means Magic attacks will hit Monster's armor before its Health. This is truly an amazing ability. Most importantly, Magic Attacks will hit the shield before attacking health.

And another great ability is the Amplify Ability. Grandmaster Rathe gives the Amplify Ability to all friendly Monsters at the start of the battle. Amplify Ability means: Increases Magic Reflect, Return Fire, and Thorns damage to all enemy monsters by 1. When Monsters with the Magic Reflect Ability are hit with Magic damage, they reduce the Magic damage dealt back to the attacker. When Monsters with the Return Fire Ability are hit with a Ranged attack, Monsters with Return Fire will return reduced damage back to their attacker.

These are truly great abilities. I think Grandmaster Rathe will be one of my favorite summoners, which I will prefer in many battles. And I'm pretty lucky to get such a powerful NFT card from the airdrop. Currently, the GRANDMASTER RATHE NFT card starts at $22.5 in the market. Considering the features of this NFT card, I think its price is not too expensive. I am planning to buy 2 more from the market to upgrade my GRANDMASTER RATHE NFT Card to level 2.

There are 5 more characters that are not unlocked yet. Every single character will be unlocked after every million pack sales. And I can't wait for them to be unlocked. I will also continue to buying Chaos Legion packs to increase my chances. I can say that I was lucky today and I hope I get other characters too.

I really would like this card but I had over 90% chance to get the card. However, I didn't get it this time and I am feeling really sad that my luck is so bad. I lost out on carnage titan last airdrop and I have over 90% chance as well.

That's definitely true. You summed it up very well. Also he removes the team's disadvantage against magic attacks.
