Little League Ruleset | Battle Mage Secrets Weekly Challenge! Splinterlands

Hello everyone, I hope everything is going well in your life. Welcome to my Battle Mage Secrets post. In this post, I will talk about the Little League Ruleset.

Little League Ruleset

In battles with the Little League Ruleset, only Monsters and Summoners that cost 4 Mana or less may be used.

Units with a mana cost of 4 or less usually have lower attacks and health, so some abilities are extremely useful in battles with the Little League ruleset. Especially the Protect, Strengthen and healing abilities are extremely useful. Also, with the Summoner or Weaken Ability, it is very useful in reducing the health of all monsters on the opposing team, this will make it easier to destroy the enemies.

Additionally, using Thorns Ability against Melee attacks, Magic Reflect Ability against Magic attacks, and Return Fire Ability against Ranged attacks will be extremely effective, especially when combined with Amplify Ability.

Also, Scavenger Ability, Life Leech Ability and Martyr Ability are among the abilities I use the most in battles with the Little League ruleset, they are really useful too. In particular, it can be very useful for Monsters with low health to increase their health as the battle continues. In short, including abilities that will give your team an advantage in your lineup will make your strategy more powerful, and you may also want to include the Dispel Ability in your lineup to clear all positive status effects on the enemy.

Above, I talked about the abilities that many players, including me, use the most in the battles with the Little League Ruleset, and in addition to using these abilities, it will be very useful to take precautions against them with your strategy.

Battle Ruleset

  • Little League: Only Monsters & Summoners that cost 4 Mana or less may be used in battles.
  • Heavy Hitters: All Monsters have the Knock Out ability.
  • Maneuvers: All units gain reach.

MY STRATEGY & LINE UP

According to the rulesets of the battle, only Monsters and Summoners that cost 4 Mana or less may be used, and all Monsters will have the Knock Out Ability and Reach Ability. I will determine my strategy accordingly.

Before starting the battle, when I reviewed the recent 5 battles of the opposing player, I guessed that the opposing player might prefer Magic attack Monsters, so first of all, I will choose Thaddius Brood as the summoner, and thanks to Thaddius Brood, the magic attack of all enemy magic attack monsters will reduce by 1, and the health of all enemy monsters will reduce by 1.

In the first position, I will put Xenith Monk with the Heal Ability. Additionally, since all Monsters will have the Knock Out Ability, I will include the Stun Ability in my lineup. And I will include Protect, Life Leech, Poison and Dispel abilities in my lineup and I believed that these abilities could be very effective in this battle.

The continuation of the strategy and my team's lineup is as follows;

LINE UP

Summoner : THADDIUS BROOD

I chose Thaddius Brood as the Summoner because I wanted to use Death unit Monsters and reduce the magic attack of all enemy Magic Attack Monsters by 1 and the health of all enemy monsters by 1.

Position 1: XENITH MONK

In the first position, I put Xenith Monk with Heal Ability. Xenith Monk has both Heal Ability and 7 health, making it special for such battles, so I added it to my team and put it in the first position.

Position 2: SHADOW SNITCH

In the second position, I put Shadow Snitch with Reach Ability. In this battle, all Monsters will have the Reach Ability anyway, but I would like to say that I added Shadow Snitch to my team because it has 6 health, and that's also why I put it in the second position. If Xenith Monk is destroyed Shadow Snitch will take the first position.

Position 3: REVEALER

In the third position, I put Revealer with Stun Ability. In this battle, all Monsters will have the Knock Out Ability, and Stun is required to trigger Knock Out, so I added Revealer to my team. And in such a battle it will be much easier to destroy the stunned Monsters.

Position 4: VENARI BONESMITH

In the fourth position, I put Venari Bonesmith with Life Leech Ability and Poison Ability. Venari Bonesmith is a Monster that can be very effective in battles with its abilities. Although it only has 4 health, its health increases each time it damages the target's health by half the damage dealt, thanks to the Life Leech Ability. Also, it has a chance to poison its target. And it is very difficult for a poisoned Monster to survive, especially in battles with the Little League ruleset because many Monsters have low health.

Position 5: RAVENHOOD WARDEN

In the fifth position, I put Ravenhood Warden with Protect Ability. I added Ravenhood Warden to my team because I believe that all monsters in my team having extra +2 armor could give my team an advantage in this battle. Although the armor was useless against magic attacks, I had to consider every possibility to win the battle, and I took into account that there may be Ranged and Melee attack Monsters on the opposing team.

Position 6: VENARI SPELLSMITH

In the last position, I put Venari Spellsmith with Dispel Ability and Amplify Ability. I wanted to use the Dispel Ability, especially since I wanted to clear all positive status effects on the enemy Monster in the first position. I encounter the Martyr Ability a lot in battles with the Little League ruleset, so I attach great importance to using the Dispel Ability.

Finally, I would like to say that I adjusted the position of the Monsters according to their abilities and health.

BATTLE COMMENTS

Round 1

In the first round, all Monsters hit their targets, but the fact that the Monsters on the opposing team had armor made it much easier to destroy them, and in the first round, Xenith Monk and Venari Spellsmith on the opposing team were destroyed, while no Monster from my team could be destroyed.

Round 2

In the second round, 3 more monsters from the opposing team were destroyed and all the monsters on my team were still alive. The fact that the Monsters on the opposing team had no armor and reduced their health by 1 was incredibly useful for my team, making it much easier to destroy them. Undoubtedly, armor and health are very important in battles, and the fact that the opposing player ignored them left the Monsters in their team in a difficult situation, which made them easier to destroy. And at the end of the second round, only the Clockwork Aide remained on the opposing team, and it had only 1 health, meaning it would be destroyed at the beginning of the next round.

Round 3

In the third round, Clockwork Aide was destroyed by Venari Bonesmith and my team was able to win the battle.

The battle lasted 3 rounds, and at the end of the battle, all the monsters on the opposing team were destroyed, while all the monsters on my team were still alive. Most interestingly, the Monsters in my team's backline took no damage and Venari Bonesmith's health increased by 3 and Xenith Monk's health decreased by only 2. It was a pretty easy victory for my team, which shows that my strategy is working better. In fact, the opposing player's strategy was also good, but I can say that the lack of armor and low health of the Monsters in the opposing team made it easier to win the battle. In addition, the fact that I chose Thaddius Brood as the summoner upset the entire strategy of the opposing player because Thaddius Brood reduced the health of all enemies by 1, making them easier to destroy, and also reduced the magic attack of all enemy magic attack monsters by 1, preventing them from being effective. That's why I can say that I prefer these types of strategies in battles with the Little League Ruleset.
