In battles with the Equalizer Ruleset, the initial Health of all Monsters is equalized to that of the Monster on either team with the highest base Health. I can say that I like the Equalizer ruleset because there are a lot of cards in my deck that have low health but can be very effective in battle, and when I have the opportunity in battles with the Equalizer ruleset, I include them in my lineup without hesitation.

Also, in battles with the Equalizer Ruleset, I base my strategy on attacking a single target at a time rather than attacking in a scattered manner. Because I think it may not be very useful to attack monsters with high health in a scattered manner, but when you attack a single target, it is much easier to destroy it.

Below I will talk about one of my most interesting battles with the Equalizer ruleset, I hope you like it.

Battle Ruleset

  • Equalizer: The initial Health of all Monsters is equal to that of the Monster on either team with the highest base Health.
  • Born Again: All Monsters have the Rebirth ability.

Rebirth Ability : When this Unit dies it will self-resurrect with 1 Health once per battle.

MY STRATEGY

According to the ruleset of the battle, the initial Health of all Monsters in this battle will be equal to that of the Monster on either team with the highest base health, and all monsters will have the Rebirth Ability. When I reviewed the recent 5 battles of the opposing player before starting the battle and considered the rulesets of the battle, it was very difficult for me to predict what kind of strategy the opposing player would team up with, so I had to consider all possibilities.

First of all, I would like to point out that I chose Eternan Brune as the Summoner so that I could use a Gladiator card in this battle, also thanks to Eternan Brune, the armor of all enemy monsters would be reduced by -2.

My primary strategy in this battle was to target the monster in the first position on the opposing team in other words, to destroy the enemy that was in the first position every time. And I like to include the Martyr Ability in my lineup in these types of battles where I will put Monsters with the Martyr Ability in the first position and in the last position. Especially according to my strategy, having Sneak Monsters on the opposing team will serve my strategy.

Increasing all the stats of monsters in battles is really useful, so I attach great importance to this in my strategy. However, I do not like the enemies' stats to increase, so I will include the Dispel Ability in my strategy. And I will add 3 more monsters with high attack power to my team.

LINE UP

Summoner : ETERNAN BRUNE

Eternan Brune is a Fire Summoner who reduces the armor of all enemy monsters by -2 and allows the use of one additional Gladiator card in battle. Since I will be using ranged attack and melee attack monsters, I thought that the lack of armor of the monsters on the opposing team would make it easier to destroy them.

Position 1: VENARI MARKSRAT

Venari Marksrat is a Neutral Monster that can attack the target with a Ranged Attack and has Martyr Ability from level 1. I put Venari Marksrat in the first position, even though it won't attack in the first position. My goal was for Chimney Wallstop to get +1 to all stats after Venari Marksrat died, and since all monsters in this battle had the Rebirth Ability, this would happen twice in this battle.

  • Martyr Ability : When this Unit dies, adjacent Units get +1 to all stats.

Position 2: CHIMNEY WALLSTOP

Chimney Wallstop is a Fire Gladiator that can attack the target with Melee Attacks and has Reach Ability, Bloodlust Ability and Repair Ability at level 5. I believed that Chimney Wallstop would be very effective in this battle, especially with all his stats increased, so I was very confident in him in this battle. I put Chimney Wallstop in the second position because it has the Reach Ability.

  • Reach Ability : Melee attack Units with the Reach ability may attack from the second position on the team.
  • Bloodlust Ability : This Monster revels in the glory of combat and becomes more dangerous as the battle goes on. Every time it defeats an opponent, it gets +1 to all stats.
  • Repair Ability : Restores a third of max armor to the friendly Unit whose armor has taken the most damage.

Position 3: LAVA LAUNCHER

Lava Launcher is a Fire Monster that can attack the target with Ranged Attacks and has Close Range Ability from level 1. The main reason I added Lava Launcher to my team was because it has 4 Ranged Attacks, and I put it in the third position.

  • Close Range Ability : Units with the Close Range ability can perform ranged attacks from the first position.

Position 4: SPIRIT HOARDER

Spirit Hoarder is a Neutral Monster that can attack the target with a magic attack and has Triage Ability and Dispel Ability at level 2. Spirit Hoarder is a monster with truly powerful abilities. Triage Ability Ability would make it harder to destroy monsters in the backline, while Dispel Ability would clear all positive status effects on the enemy in the first position so I added Spirit Hoarder to the team and put it in the fourth position.

  • Triage Ability : Heals the friendly back-line Unit that has taken the most damage by a third of max health.
  • Dispel Ability : When this monster hits an enemy, it clears all positive status effects on that enemy.

Position 5 : FIRECALLER

Firecaller is a Fire Monster that can attack the target with Ranged Attacks and has Martyr Ability from level 1. The main reason I added Firecaller to my team was because it had the Martyr Ability, and I put it in the fifth position. Since I would put Countess Sinash with the Camouflage Ability in the last position, Firecaller would be the target of the enemy Sneak Monsters.

  • Martyr Ability : When this Unit dies, adjacent Units get +1 to all stats.

Position 6 : COUNTESS SINASH

Countess Sinash is a Fire Monster that can attack the target with Ranged Attacks and has Opportunity Ability, Camouflage Ability and Swiftness Ability at level 2. I can say that I added Countess Sinash to my team because I believe that having higher speed will provide a great advantage in this battle. Thanks to her, all monsters in my team would increase their speed by 1. Also, Countess Sinash having 3 ranged attacks and Camouflage Ability was a big advantage for this battle, and thanks to her abilities, my strategy in this battle could work better. and I put Countess Sinash in the last position.

  • Opportunity Ability : Units with the Opportunity ability may attack from any position and will target the enemy Unit with the lowest health.
  • Camouflage Ability : This Unit cannot be directly targeted for attacks unless it's in the first position.
  • Swiftness Ability : All friendly Units have their Speed increased by 1.

BATTLE COMMENTS

You can watch the entire battle from the video or from the Battle Link

Round 1

To be honest, the opposing player's strategy was also quite good and the opposing team was also quite powerful. But I was glad the opposing team had Sneak Monsters because they would make my strategy work better.

In the first round, the opposing team's attacks were much more effective and they did not miss any attacks, causing monsters with the martyr ability to take serious damage. While 2 monsters from my team missed their targets, 3 monsters hit their targets, but Spirit Hoarder did a great job in the first round, preventing the opposing team from gaining a big advantage. Spirit Hoarder both healed Firecaller and cleared all positive status effects on Coeurl Lurker.

Round 2

It's really hard to hit a monster like the Coeurl Lurker, but my team did a great job destroying it twice in the second round. Also, the monsters on the opposing team destroyed both Firecaller and Venari Marksrat, which was exactly what I wanted to happen. In short, everything went as I wanted in the second round and my team was now much more advantageous in the battle.

Round 3

In the third round, even though all the monsters on the opposing team hit their targets, almost all of them continued to serve my strategy. The enemies destroyed Venari Marksrat for the second time. And Chimney Wallstop's destruction of Grum Flameblade was commendable, thus once again getting +1 to all his stats.

Round 4

Chimney Wallstop, Spirit Hoarder, and Countess Sinash's all stats were quite remarkable, and they were now much more dangerous to their opponents. While Chimney Wallstop destroyed Grum Flameblade, the monsters on the opposing team destroyed Firecaller, which meant that they got +1 to all their stats again.

Round 5

In the fifth round, Chimney Wallstop managed to destroy another enemy and got +1 to all his stats. Chimney Wallstop had 11 melee attack and 8 speed and was truly reveling in the glory of battle, becoming more and more dangerous as the battle goes on. Also, Gobalano Soldier destroying Chimney Wallstop's 8 armor in one hit was pretty brutal, so I love the Shatter Ability.

Round 6

Frankly, everything in the battle was going as I wanted and at the end of 6 rounds, there were only 2 monsters left on the opposing team. And they no longer had the possibility of winning this battle, but since they had the Rebirth Ability, the battle would last a little longer.

Round 7

In the seventh round, Nimble Dook Scout was also destroyed for the second time, leaving only Tenyii Striker on the opposing team.

Round 8

In the eighth round, my team destroyed Tenyii Striker for the second time and they managed to win this very tough battle.

At the end of the battle, Chimney Wallstop, Spirit Hoarder, and Countess Sinash's stats were all quite remarkable, and they had more health than when they started the battle.

The battle lasted 8 rounds and while all the monsters on the opposing team were destroyed, only 2 monsters on my team were destroyed and their destruction was already part of my strategy. Frankly, the opposing player's strategy was also pretty good, but my strategy worked much better, so my team won this battle quite easily. The fact that I used the Martyr Ability in this battle was very useful, but I would like to say that the secret hero of the battle was Spirit Hoarder, its abilities really came in handy in this battle and it did a great job. It is really a great advantage to have a level 2 Spirit Hoarder card in such battles. I recommend you to watch this very interesting and challenging battle from the Battle Link. I hope you will like it.
