What if my alarm could actually talk?

What if we could have objects that talk? Some would be our gist partners while some, out of frustration would want to stop working for us because they feel we have used them for a long time and it's time for a replacement. There was a time I looked at a friend's slippers that had torn at the edge but still managed it, and I said to her, "If these slippers should come back to life the second time, they won't come close to you" or something like "If only this slippers could talk, they would have expressed their feelings and asked for a replacement because they are tired of being dragged on the ground when they could have been thrown away and replaced".

Then, I would conclude "What if these objects speak, would you wait or run for your dear life?" 😃

Okay, let's not go there. What if your alarm isn't just a buzzer but a chatterbox with a personality? What if it could talk, what would it say? Join me as I explore different quirky, inspiring, aggressive and funny messages our alarms might deliver if they could talk.

One thing the alarm does when you set a particular time is to remind you of a schedule you almost forgot about. We set alarms for various tasks and for someone like me, I set different alarm clocks for different purposes and sometimes set more than 3 alarms for the same purpose in case I miss one, the other will wake or remind me. So, let's explore different voices of alarms for different tasks.

Alarm set for morning workout: Since we want to be reminded the next day of our workout and not miss the time, once we set the time and it reaches, the alarm would give the message "Hey girl, wake up! Time to rise and grind. Let's crush that workout. Get up now!"

Alarm set for a workday: "The day is bright, get up and start your day. The world awaits your productivity." I wake up every 5 am and I am sure this is something my alarm would say to me, hearing the message would make me get up to start the day on a beautiful day.

What if I set an alarm and it keeps snoozing continuously, it would be angry, then what you would hear is "Hey sleepyhead, don't you hear me at all? Get up now and don't be a lazy ass in bed".

Then comes the frustrated alarm where you'd set different alarms but refused to get up to any, and the voice would go like this "I have been ringing for ages! How much longer would you continue to ignore me? If you feel like snubbing me every time, then stop setting me up please, arrrgh"

Let's talk about the exhausted/drained alarm. This is an alarm that is tired of the same routine every time. It is already used to the same time when you have to get up, brush your teeth, take your bath, dance in front of the mirror and repeat the same thing the next day. The alarm would just angrily voice out and be like "Hey, what is this same routine all the time? I am tired! Can't you change the pattern? I need a new routine and not going in the same circle every day. Don't try this tomorrow because I might have to disappoint you"

When you set an alarm and nothing is being done. Like you keep pushing the alarm away from your side or tapping the red button because you feel you need more time to sleep. Sometimes, it happens to me when I don't want to get up and the alarm keeps buzzing forever. Out of annoyance because it is what happens every time, the alarm would scream "Wtf! Even if I keep buzzing all my life, it still doesn't make a difference. I want to resign immediately as I do not give a fuck to one who doesn't want a change anyways"

Did I try? I want to believe these are some messages our alarms would deliver depending on their mood and situation if they could talk.

Thanks for your time on my blog.

Hahaha, this is fun.

I'm just Imagine what my alarm will say on those days I kept on ignoring it in the morning because I needed a little more sleep !lol.

Wake! Wake! Sleeping little head, you can ignore me all you want, but I won't keep quiet.

😀 A lot of us are fond of doing that. Pressing that end button just to catch up with a little more sleep, it's common. LOl
Alarm won't stop ringing except you do not set it on. Lol

These are hilarious. My alarm is probably weary from working with a routine. At this point, I don't think it needs to be set before it knows when exactly to go off

Yes oo. Alarms would have expressed their feelings if they could talk. Some would be hilarious while some, as an encouragement to you.

It's a funny thought - alarms that are tired of their daily routine, or that are so experienced they don't need to be set anymore. It's a playful idea that highlights how important alarms are in our daily lives.

Yea, alarms are definitely part of our lives as we can't do but set them to be reminded of important tasks ahead of us. Thank you for showing up.
