DIY/ the making of footmat

Hello everyone I am here again to make another beautiful craft, while I was taking care of the store I saw some pieces of rug and foam so I thought of making use of them for something meaningful instead of throwing them away.

Sometimes it's good to keep things we have used before because they might be useful for something else later, so I tried making a footmat and it came out beautifully.

The materials used are:

Rug
Flatboard
Needle and thread
Super glue
Foam
Nails
Scissors
Hammer

The process

Firstly, I dusted the rug and the foam because they had stayed too long inside the store and I also cleaned the flat board very well because I didn't want to carry any dirt into the house.

Step 1

I measured the rug on the flat board, then I made use of a needle and thread to sew the word "welcome" in the middle of the rug.

Step 2

I measured the foam too on the flatboard then made use of scissors to cut the exact size of the board.

Step 3

When everything was set, I applied the super glue at the edge of the flatboard and then placed the foam on it.

Step 4

I placed the rug on the foam and the board, then made use of nails and hammer to tack it down so it wouldn't quickly spoil.

Step 5

I turned it to the other side and made use of scissors to cut the excess off from the board.

After that, I applied the super glue at the tip of the rug round so that the wool that was made to do it wouldn't start removing from the edges.

Now my footmat is ready, sometimes I do feel like doing some things not because I can't afford them but because I just wanted to see how those items are been made.

This is a creative effort. Whatever can be recycled is good for the environment. Nice one.
