Tuesday Was Nice — I used some HDB to minimize my stress
Hi Hivers! How was your day?
Tuesday was great, not too hot, and not too stressful.
Today, I didn't feel like going to school because our classes were canceled. I had planned to rest all day, but then one of my friends came over. She told me that we were going to have our continuous assessment test in a few minutes and she had been trying to call me.
My phone was off, so I wasn't even active on WhatsApp to see the information. I quickly rushed to school so I wouldn't miss it, and luckily, we were the last ones allowed to enter the class.
The test turned out to be simpler than we expected, and we were really surprised by that. It only lasted for 20 minutes, and then we called it a day.
I was really frustrated with myself when I realized that I could have missed this test because of electricity issues.
Lately, I've been struggling to do my assignments and classwork because of these power interruptions. Even writing a nice blog has become a challenge because I have to publish it quickly whenever my phone is on.
So after the test today, I decided to minimize the stress by getting myself a power bank.
There's this phone store near my house that's been known for selling quality products. I found a good charger there last month after wandering around the whole neighborhood.
While looking for a better product, I noticed that the prices of power banks and other accessories have really gone through the roof.
I later settled for an Itel 20000mAh power bank and a single charging cord. They cost me $16 and $2 respectively.
The price is way too high compared to what my friend got at the same shop a few months ago.
However, I know I might still be having issues because my phone is already old. My plan is to get a new one and have some peace of mind.
But despite that, I'm very grateful for what I have right now. I'm also thankful to Hive because I used some HBD I withdrew a while back to buy these things.
The selfies look cute even in the dark, I’m surprised because it’s my first time trying it.

I really feel for you and the electricity outages that you experience. I know so many people that struggle for many hours each day. It's a real challenge 😔 I'm glad you managed to get yourself a power bank. It will pay for itself over time! Just being able to get online and write and earn and connect with friends is worth it. The issue was really making my life difficult, like making a contest blog and never getting to publish it on time because my device was off. Or copying other people's assignments because I don't have a phone to do mine. Lol 😆.
