Hola, querido hiver.

Ayer empezaron las fiestas patronales de mi ciudad. Hasta el próximo domingo se desarrollarán actividades para todas las edades y para todos los gustos. Gracias a que el tiempo acompaña y a que este año el día principal cae en jueves, se espera que los últimos cuatro días la ciudad reciba a miles de personas que abarrotarán calles y plazas.

Años atrás disfrutaba mucho de estos días. Lo que más me gustaba eran los conciertos y las disco móviles, con las que sentir la música hasta que el cuerpo aguantaba. Sin embargo, tuve una mala experiencia en un concierto donde no respetaron el aforo permitido y desde entonces las aglomeraciones me producen ansiedad. Por eso evito las multitudes y me cuesta asistir a eventos masivos. El temor no me permite disfrutarlos como merecen y para eso pues prefiero quedarme tranquila en mi casa.

Este año me quiero atrever a enfrentar ese miedo, gracias a que después quiero compartir esas cosas bonitas y curiosas para enseñarlas desde aquí al resto del mundo. Lo haré con prudencia, pero centrada en entrar en sintonía con el ambiente de fiesta y la alegría. Solo así podré transmitirlo después.

Lo que no sé es cómo afectará eso a mis publicaciones. Me temo que fallaré más de un día, algo que supondrá no lograr la meta de publicar todos los días del año. Pero sé que es algo totalmente secundario y que por eso ni se acaba el mundo ni mi implicación con Hive. Tampoco voy a valer menos ni seré un fracaso absoluto, algo que quienes somos sensibles tendemos a pensar y es un tremendo error.

Thanks to the weather and the fact that this year the main day falls on a Thursday, it is expected that the city will welcome thousands of people who will fill the streets and squares during the last four days.

Years ago I used to enjoy these days very much. What I liked most were the concerts and the disco mobiles, where I could feel the music as long as my body could take it. However, I had a bad experience at a concert where they didn't respect the permitted capacity and since then crowds make me anxious. That's why I avoid crowds and find it difficult to attend mass events. Fear doesn't allow me to enjoy them as they deserve and for that I prefer to stay quietly at home.

This year I want to dare to face that fear, because I want to share those beautiful and curious things to show them to the rest of the world. I will do it cautiously, but focused on getting in tune with the festive atmosphere and the joy. Only in this way will I be able to pass it on afterwards.

What I don't know is how that will affect my publications. I fear that I will miss more than one day, which will mean not achieving the goal of posting every day of the year. But I know that this is totally secondary and that this is not the end of the world or the end of my involvement with Hive. Nor will I be worth less or an absolute failure, which those of us who are sensitive tend to think is a tremendous mistake.
