In the garden of my building in Caracas, a little dog appeared, a black and white puppy, he had in his paws a bone that had come down from his house, one of the girls from the tower next door. The little dog was trying to bite and break the bone, but it was too small to be able to do so, so the girl lowered a small container, full of chicken rice.

The little dog looked very happy eating what the girl had brought him. She saw the puppy eating and when she saw the desperation with which the little animal ate, she imagined him alone on the street, going hungry or getting wet in the rainy season.

So the girl talked to her parents and begged to be able to have him, at first, the parents refused to have him in the house, but the girl, made him a kind of little house in the parking lot, and helped by other children, began to take care of the little dog.

The parents, seeing how tender their daughter was with the dog and the attention she paid to the care of the little dog, decided to give her the opportunity to have him in the house. But before she took him to the house, she was told that she should teach him to be his needs in the park in front of the building, she should bathe him, give him food and walk him. They explained to their daughter that having a puppy was like having a child.

The excited girl accepted everything her parents told her, and had to learn everything about the care of the puppy, and also took him to the veterinarian, and treated him as her parents had indicated. Thus she learned responsibility, and her beloved little dog learned to love, defend and respect her.

Finally, the girl and the little dog became great friends and grew up together, their love was so great, that the girl, after having grown up and being already a woman, had the photo of Kandor, her first and beloved little dog, pasted on the wall of her office.

And when a boy or a girl, brought her pet to the office, while she attended to the little animal, she told the children the story of Kandor, and how the love for her little friend, led her to become a veterinarian.
