Eradicating The Problem Of Unemployment.

I welcome you to my blog. I am from a country situated in the western part of Africa and popularly known as the giant of Africa. We have suffered from unemployment for so many years, and nothing has been done to eradicate or reduce the rate of unemployment, and the chances of being unemployed after school continue to increase every day.

Many people are no longer interested in school because, even after the whole school stress, you still end up jobless and opt in for menial jobs for survival. These days, people want to skip the process but want to see results. No hard work but want to live in all the luxuries of life; this is why the crime rate is on the increase as well. Many opt in for rituals, kidnapping, robbery, fraud, and so many other things since there are no jobs and they don't want to undergo stress.

It's quite disheartening to see an individual who is not physically challenged begging, like, Why not put your skill to work? Why wait on the little the public can offer you? One thing is certain: one cannot build wealth from begging; the government does not care about you, and you decide to become a beggar instead of looking for better ways to help yourself.

There are many ways through which the rate of unemployment can be reduced, and these include the following:

• Agriculture: In my country, they see farming as a dirty job, and everyone wants to get a white collar job, which has affected the agricultural sector of the country. If the government and the citizens can invest in agriculture, then the rate of unemployment can be reduced to a minimum level. Provide farmers with modern implements to enhance farm mechanization; this will not only provide employment but will also help reduce inflation in the price of farm produce.

• Entrepreneurship Skill: This has just been added to the curriculum of many schools where students are educated on a particular skill. Many students do not take it very seriously because they want a white collar job, but no doubt it's very important. What if the government fails to offer you the employment you dream of? What do you fall back on? This is where the skill learned comes into play. Instead of staying jobless, you use the skill learned to generate income for yourself.

• Embrace The World Of Cryptocurrency: For individuals who do not like to undergo the stress of leaving the house every morning to go to the office or the farm, this one is for you. Cryptocurrency has made people rich and is still making others who embrace it and are willing to learn rich. For example, the hive platform has been the source of livelihood for many individuals; some who have made their mark on the platform work from home, and it's all thanks to hive. Some governments are not in support of Cryptocurrency and are doing everything possible to fight against it; they fail to see what they stand to gain if they embrace it.

• Hiring Should be by qualifications: Welcome to my country, where people who are not qualified get hired, leaving the qualified to roam around on the streets until they eventually give up the hunt for jobs. These days, people get hired for who they know and not what they know; this is why many refuse education since they don't have anyone to speak for them.

Finally, eradicating unemployment is not a job meant for the government alone; we as individuals also need to get up and work, learn a skill, and don't just dream about white collar jobs.
