Splinterlands - Battle Mage Secrets: Keep your distance!

Hi everyone! So, last week my PC died and I had to make do with playing my battles and making my blog posts on a small screen, but as of yesterday my new PC is up and running 😍 so this is my first post on the new set-up, let's go!

So this weeks Battle Mage Secrets challenge is about the 'keep your distance' ruleset, in which only magic and ranged units can be used, or better said, no melee monsters are allowed. Sometimes is mistake this ruleset with the 'going the distance ruleset in which only ranged monsters are allowed, being able to play magic is a big difference obviously so pay attention and don't mix these two up 😁

And this was inside, nothing great and nothing I didn't already owned but a gift is always nice and my daughter just started playing Splinterlands again, so I could delegate her some cards she didn't had in her account. 🙂

So let's get on with the main topic for today, this weeks battle mage secrets challenge!

The battle I saved for this post is 31 mana Wild League, Keep Your Distance / Reversed Speed battle with only water and earth available to be chosen from, and with the reversed speed ruleset, knowing that most monsters in the water splinter are fast, the most obvious choice would be to go earth, and since ranged can't fire from the first position, magic is the way to go for the tank, at least - that's what my opponent is going to do I think...

First look at the battlefield:

Well, magic all the way, and that's nice because it's what I anticipated for, playing double Silence, my Spell Reflect is Amplified by Mycelia, so hopefully the lower HP monsters kill themselves when they fire, always funny! 😁

My Line-Up:

• Summoner: Immortalis - reason: Void, Shatter.
• First position: Failed Summoner - reason: Low mana Spell Reflect tank.
• Second position: Mycelic Slipspawn - reason: High HP taunt to spread out the incoming damage.
• Third position: Goblin Psychic - reason: Tank Heal, Silence, Affliction.
• Fourth position: Queen Mycelia - reason: Protect, Amplify, Triage to heal the Taunt.
• Fifth position: Lurking Puffer - reason: Silence.
• Sixth position: Halfling Alchemist - reason: Halving.

The Battle:

Round 1: Because of my Void combined with double Silence, and my opponent going all magic (yeah that's always dangerous) I don't think there's a lot of chance I'll lose this one, the Affliction can be annoying though...

Round 2: Because of the void and healing, not much happened this round...

Round 3: And suddenly things went fast and the other team got halved, not because of my Halfling Alchemist although he was able to hit the Regal Peryton right before he died. 😅

Round 4: Well apparently my Failed Summoner was too hard to kill for the other team, and my full team is still alive, it's funny when you anticipate your opponent and got it right lol.

1.72 SPS and almost 400 glint is pretty nice, this was in the last days of the previous season, I finished somewhere in the 3800 rating.

Well that's it for this week! hopefully I get some upvotes, I needed to spend some $ to get my daughters account (@stella16) up and running and buy some key cards for her since I don't like renting... I got Thaddius Brood and Obsidian to level 2, and bought Moxian Rebel for her, it's played a lot in low level battles!
