The Battle Of A Decade

It was all blue and white lights, blinking and shinning all through the arena. The whole stadium was fully packed with people of different shapes and sizes. It was the grand slam event to know who the true King of the Ring really is. The fanbase from both fighters were massive, as the noise from the arena echoed through the whole city.

Mask-Lord have been a fighter for over a decade now, but he has not won any major title or belt to his name. Even though he was one of the most skillful men in the locker room, he had not been given the opportunity to fight for a major title because he was disliked by the boss himself (CEO of the World Wrestling Federation).

Behold, this was the day for Mask-Lord to prove himself worthy to be called the "King of the Ring", which is obviously the most prestigious title for any wrestler in the locker room.

–Today is the day I'll claim the glory that has been hidden for over 10 years- Mask-Lord told his manager.

–I believe in you my boy. "I have waited all my life for this moment, and I can't wait to see the pain in the boss's eye when you finally win" his manager encouraged him excitedly.

For more than a decade now, the boss has been seeking revenge for his eldest son who got beaten into coma by Mask-Lord in a brutal "last man standing match". Today's match with Labista is also a "last man standing match", and only the strongest would survive.

It was time for the main event of the night, and the two fighers were to make their ways into the ring. But just as Mask-Lord and his managers were about to make their appearance to the crowd, they were blocked by the boss and his squad.

–You would pay for what you did to my son many years ago. I'll do everything within my powers to make sure you are brutalised today.

Before Mask-Lord could say a word, the boss ordered his boys to weaken them before their entrance:

–Beat them up until they become weak. "BEAT THEM, BEAT THEM"- he echoed.

By this time, Labista was already making his way to the ring, as the announcer was hailing him in:

–Make welcome, "A 6-time World Wrestling champion", "The strongest man in the world", "Your current King of the Ring" "The undefeated LA---BISTA".

The chants from the crowd shows Labista had the highest number of fanbase in the stadium, and defeating him here might require alot of mental strength as well. Labista had remained undefeated since he debuted for the WWF. He was indeed the strongest among all the wrestlers, and he was used by the boss to bully the outspoken fighers.

Mask-Lord and his manager had already been taken to the medical center, as a result of some injuries sustained on their bodies. The boss became worried because cases like this might get him in trouble, or make him lose money.

–I only told you guys to weaken his body, not to injure him! "This might get me in trouble",- he shouted at his squad angrily.

By this time, the whole people were waiting for the entrance of Mask-Lord. The doctors advised him to forfeit the title match, and fight another day, but he refused, and insisted that he must fight today to keep his legacy.

–"I might not get another title shot if I miss this one",- he said; while walking sluggishly to the entrance.

It was all noise and chants as Mask-Lord made his way through the entrance. Many supporters have heard stories on how skillful he was, but they barely see him being featured in big matches. It was as if his talent was buried and irrelevant all this while.

–Make welcome, "The opponent of LABISTA", "The most skillful fighter in the world", Mask----Lord.

The boss was very happy to see Mask-Lord in the ring, because it would have costed him more than money if this fight didn't hold. He couldn't wait to see how Labista would destroy the hell out of this his long time enemy. Both managers of the fighters stood at ringside to cheer their men to victory as the bell rang for the fight to begin.

Labista had the upper hand, as Mask-Lord was already weak from the beating he suffered earlier. Labista equally had the advantage of strength and height, as he overpowered and annihilate Mask-Lord.

The match was a "last man standing match," which means a fighter must have to demolish his opponent to keep them on the ground unconsciously for the count of 10 by the referee. This types of matches don't usually end well for the losers.

Mask-Lord was beaten till he became unconscious. But just as the referee counted to 7, Mask-Lord heard his manager shouting at him to get up and fight for his legacy. This motivated him, and he got up just as the ref got to the count of 9.

–"I can never stop fighting until I win"- he shouted; as his voice echoed through the stadium.

Just like a man fired up, he bounced on Labista and started hitting every part of his body. Labista was down, as Mask-Lord climbed to the top rope to hit a flying finisher on his opponent. It wasn't up to a minute, and Labista was already knocked out. The ref counted to 10 and Labista couldn't get back on his fit.

Shock waves like never before filled the whole stadium, as Mask-Lord was crowned "the new King of the Ring". The boss couldn't believe his eyes, because he never thought Mask-Lord had such skills and a fighting spirit. It all ended in joy for Mask-Lord, as his fanbase increased, to see him rule as the new King of the ring.
