The Journey Started Somewhere
Finding Hive has been a blessing for me. Blessing might be an understatement, hehe. I remember celebrating my 1,000 HP growth six months ago when I turned 1 year old on this blockchain. So, apparently, I've been here for a year and six months.So what this means is that in my first year in hive, I earned 1k HP and then earned 2k in the last 6 months. Wow, this is indeed amazing to me. I never saw this coming so early, but here we are.
In January this year, the HL community, through their weekly featured contest, asked us to set our new year's hive goals, and guess what? I set my hp goal at 3000 at the end of this year, and then it was around 1,800 hp or thereabouts. I remember @josediccus, @burlarj, and @b0s telling me with confidence that I would achieve this even before June this year with the way I am growing in the blockchain. Well, I guess their prophecy came to fulfillment. lolz, all thanks to everyone who has supported my growth in one way or another. I appreciate you guys. The HL community has been a great support since this journey started, and I am forever grateful.
Currently, I have 3k+ Hive Power, from which I delegate some out, and I also curate nice contents to earn curation rewards. Even though many people of my age in this blockchain must have earned much more than me, I still see mine as a pleasant growth because I remember how I started with delegated 100 HP. One thing that has kept me going is consistency. In the last 6 months, I have become more consistent than when I joined the hive Blockchain, and the good friends I have made here so far have influenced me positively on this. I make sure to show up daily, even with my busy schedule as a mom. I try to engage with others in different communities, participate in contests, and get myself fully involved in some Discord server connected to my niche community in Hive. These actions have equally played a good role in getting me to where I am today.
The vote you can give out depends on the stake you have in the blockchain. When you build up your hive power, you have a unique ability in this space. Presently, my vote isn't much, but I am on a journey to build it up. Supporting the system and other authors through your stake says a lot about your commitment to hive growth at large. I learned the importance of powering up last year August, and I have continued to do so every month since then. Recently I have been facing lots of financial challenges. At one point I was tempted to power down a bit for the first time even in this dip, but then I knew how much I loved to grow my stake here, and that's why I kept seeking other ways to source for my financial needs instead of powering down. Hopefully God will keep helping me.
I am here to stay! I am here to contribute to the system as much as I can in any way possible, even as the system keeps blessing my life.
I'm blessed to be part of Hive, and I plan to keep being consistent. I will love to keep growing my account and even double this HP in the next year.
