Online Shopping vs Physical Shopping || Get To Know My Preference and Why

Shopping is an interesting experience for me. I love shopping, I even did some shopping today, getting the things I need, and replacing the finished items at home is fulfilling but the question is which method do I prefer? A lot of vendors are making good use of the digital market. One of my friends made more than a million naira last year by selling online. Who does not like getting his or her goods from the door steps just by a click, I guess we all love that, shopping without stress, a convenient method of shopping 🛒. Online shopping is nice, I have gotten some things like furniture, bags, shoes, wristwatch ⌚ , etc, through online methods of shopping though, some of them had negative stories attached.

The way some items appear online is not their original color or size, all thanks to the editing apps most vendors use today just to give a more pleasant look to their items..lolz. I once met a woman doing a lot of magic in her shop with the items she wants to display online. You see, this online shopping got some disadvantages. But I wouldn't dispute the fact that it's very convenient. The bag I bought online the other time looked bigger in the picture but upon receiving it, I was disappointed. It was so small that it couldn't serve its purpose. I had to go buy another bag in the physical market. Again, a shoe I bought the other time, I had a size issue even when the size I choose should size my son but it didn't. You know sometimes, the size the manufacturers write may not matter until you size it..that's what happened in my case, returning it and picking another size came with extra charges. However, I have gotten quite a several items without complaining on the quality, only that shopping online is costlier.

Now unto my preference...
As much as I like online shopping especially while buying items that might be difficult to get it quickly in the physical market, physical shopping remains my preference today.

In the physical market, I get to feel and access very well on items I want to buy. I get to negotiate and beat down prices where possible 😂. I get to hear some practical reviews on some items from my fellow buyers. I have had my customers explain to me clearly the use of some recipes physically and I won't have such an opportunity online. Nowadays, I am even sourcing from local markets where I can be shopping with reduced price because I don't have a lot of money. Today in the market, I was very lucky to get some items at cheaper prices other than what I used to buy before...I was just surprised and it wowed me.. lolz. Online shopping comes with a price tag which leaves me with no choice of bargaining price...even my customers know me very well 😉...I have strong bargaining power and get things with a slight discount in the physical market...isn't that amazing? Let me take up the stress of going to the physical market now that I haven't made a lot of money for convenient shopping 😂

In summary, I love both shopping methods but I prefer physical shopping due to the reason listed above .

The way you were holding that okporoko, cheiiii. Soup. Anyways I have seen shege due to shopping online, I have bought two chargers for like 20k and I didn't use them more then six months. I prefer physical shopping now, even if it's stressful. like you mentioned, people who are seriously selling online makes money, just like that your friend.

hahaha, it's the "I come in peace for me". Are you scared the online shoppers will come for you? Me I still prefer online shopping. Though it depends on what I want to buy. There are a lot of things I get online that are so difficult to get from physical shops. Having a regular plug makes things easier as well. A lot of times i'll go to market and i'll have to settle cause i'm tired and I can't find the exact thing. But if its foodstuffs and common things I'll definitely go physical. Wo let me not write post for you, lolz

This topic really came at the right time for you then, I hope you got me some stuffs too😁

Online shopping is really cool but the truth is most times but the complains from customers in terms of getting fake good or low class goods after paying huge amount of money, delivery, scam and others is just too high. I wish they can take corrections and improve.

Shopping the local way is always the best mom, I trust all mother's with bargaining power😂😂 if you said you do not know how to bargain, I would have asked if you are really a Nigerian mother. It's recently I stopped going to the market with my mother because of how she bargains, you hardly cheat that woman hehe..

Wow, we've both got the same preference mama. Physical shopping will always remain my favorite. It's true that online shopping helps to save stress but it the goods sold there can be deceitful. I've also had my fair share of online purchase experience and since then, I've become more withdrawn from the digital stores.

Anyways, I myself is not exempted from this category lmao because it is important to get items at a cheaper rate because the economic situation in the country is nothing to talk about.

As for me biko, I stan for physical shopping mbok before I share premium tears haha, and also I enjoy strolling out because it is part of exercise too.

I feel ya.. What I ordered vs. What I got geng 😂😂... Lord have mercy. Physical shopping is still the best and it is lovely knowing you find fun in it.

Well, it is a proven fact that not all commodity or product ordered online are as it seems, I remember ordering a pair of male shoe online, what I got was far different from the design I ordered and the funny thing is majority of the online vendors would have received payment before you can get access or view the product.

Secondly online market is more expensive than the physical market despite being convenient, no matter the promo and discount.

And physical markets gives more room for negotiations.

I'm a fan of the digital world but there are still some things the online market can't achieve.
