Practical Measures for Lowering the High Unemployment Rate
Have you ever wondered why there is a high crime rate in the world today? If no then I want to let you know unemployment is one of the major factors leading to these activities.
In my country, we are advised to go to school, learn hard and become well to do people in the society but guess what? After studying hard and graduating majority of us are left at home with nothing to do and just a certificate to show. I bet most people regret going to school because after investing money, time and energy into achieving all this, you are left with not even a job to help you make ends meet.
Now the question we all fail to ask ourselves is this. Do we only have to make it in life through school? I guess you know the answer but if you don’t then the answer is no. With your diploma or degree certificate I assume you have acquired enough knowledge and skills to start something good on your own or even partner with others to build something. You don’t always have to wait for the government to employ you or some company to hire you as an employee. You can be your own boss within a few months or years. You just need to brainstorm and be hardworking.
Do you have any innovative suggestions for your government, fellow youth, and nation on how to effectively curb or solve this issue?
It’s high time we stopped blaming others and the government for our bad luck because I bet you they have no hand in this. Instead , let me share a few ideas that I think can help curb this canker.
To the government
We have seen and we know that even as I speak today there are employees in the government who are way pass the pension age but do not want to leave office for their own selfish interests.And even if they do, they will make sure to fit their slot with a family member or a friend and that’s how the chain continues. There are a lot of incompetent employees in the government sector who only landed the job they have due to family connections while those out there with the technical know-how are left sitting at home with nothing to do.
So, now is the time for our governments to fish out these individuals and do the necessary so as to develop our country.
To my fellow youth
You don’t always have to aim at having an office job where you would have your own office with an air conditioner. Truss me, in my country most of these individuals in the offices receive a pay of less than 100dollars per month. Would you rather sit in an office working your ass out for 100dollars when you can start your own business and earn ten times of that?
In this era, with your your mobile phone you can be a business owner and have a booming business. All you need is internet connectivity. If you think you’re not capable of running a business then maybe you could go into crop farming where you can get people to work for you or you can also work for yourself. The crop market is always growing because we eat everyday meaning there needs to be a constant supply of foodstuffs in the market. Just start something! I know you might fail at some point but that shouldn’t stop you because one day, all your hardwork will pay off.
To the nation
As a nation,we should be able to collectively work us one so as to achieve growth and development. Let us make it a habit of supporting our own and standing up for what is right at all times. With this, we would see our gradual growth and betterment as a nation.

Such a great point you've outlined here: society has lied to most of us, and this has had a negative influence on most of the youth today. Most people think it is the uneducated who are meant to do business, but that is not the case. We need to have a change of mind and start finding our own success stories.

The truth is a lot of youth who go into crime and Cyber crime use unemployment as a factor; which is true, but many of them don't have a life plan to follow up with. They have this entitlement mentality that has driven them to taking what belongs to others by force

Sometimes change starts from us but we fail to see.
It is not everyone that will have an office job, meanwhile if we all are in the office who will sell at the market? So we shouldn't blame government for the mistake we all are making those most of the errors comes from them.

For a minute, I thought of becoming a crop farmer hehe🤠. It is no doubt that farmers who knows their onions and are also consistent, make a whole lot of money from their yields.

In the era we are, don't allow the system to use you instead use the system to make you money. You have brain make it thing and reason, making money is sweeter than honey.
