My terrible experience traveling to my friend's place for holidays

On a very good day, I have a plan to visit a friend who is so far away from me. We happen to be good friends with each other, and we have known each other for so many years. Let me just say we were childhood friends.
I have already had a plan to visit him after a long time we have been talking on the phone. I honestly would like to book a plane to his side because I don't like the stress of public transportation. I could not book a plane for some reasons. But to avoid unnecessary public transportation, I went for high-class public transport; should I just call it grade A? It is expensive because of the look and comfort of the car. You will be able to sit well, you will have space, and it will be a good car, unlike the 18-passenger

I'm this kind of person who doesn't like morning journeys; I prefer evening and night journeys; they're always cool. I told my dad about it, and he insisted that I need to travel as early as I could since the journey is like an 8-hour journey; actually, my dad just doesn't like night and evening journeys. Well, I understand him because of how the situation in the country is presently. He gave his instance about how people used to get kidnapped during the journey and how things happen to people there.
To not disobey my parents I told him I would be leaving the house early to travel to my friend's place. If I don't do that, they won't allow me to go, even though we are not leaving together. I still respect their decisions all the time.
I got all my luggage ready as soon as I could, and I left home to park around 12 PM in the afternoon. Getting to the park, I was the first person there. We waited for everyone, and fortunately, we have lots of people around, and most of them are youths, both female and male.
The bus started moving after waiting for 40 minutes. We were on our way, and the bus wasn't even moving too fast. People noticed and complained about it. I could not complain because, honestly, I don't like too much speed. I never knew that it wasn't because of the speed, but then the car was not in good condition.
The bus break wasn't too sharp, and the driver never told anyone about it. Imagine going for an 8-hour journey inside a bus that doesn't have a good break. This driver is just risking our lives for nothing.
No one noticed until a car behind us applied breaks from afar, and then our bus almost hit it while people were shouting at the man to apply a break. So stop the moving vehicle. That's when we learned about the break failure. Honestly, it was God who saved us that day.

We all came down from the bus and asked the man to fix his break, or we were not going anywhere again. To cut a long story short, we all came down from the bus and couldn't find another one.
I waited with the rest for hours at the place the man dropped us. We couldn't find a bus to board, and it's getting late already. Well, after like an hour plus, we saw another bus, and he was willing to help us with just a penny. We all enter this bus; at this time, it is already getting late. The bus driver drove us to our destinations. Then we came down and started looking for another bus to take.
At this point, it's already very late in the night, and I have been receiving calls from everyone about what's going on. I had to calm them down and tell them that everything is fine here and they should not worry.
After waiting for another extra hour, standing on the road, and so on, we saw another bus that took us down to where we were going. When I reached my friend's house in the middle of the night, I was tired and frustrated. I could not even count the hours I spent.
My parents really got mad at me, and I was so disappointed that I even traveled by myself because the journey was so scary and frustrating.
