My rare sleeping nature

After having a stressful day, all what you think of is to have a nice shower and hit the bed. Sometimes you first forget food for a while and aim the bed straight if you have gone through stressful work.

Some people use drugs and some drinks to prevent them from falling asleep but no matter what you use to disrupt the act of sleeping, when nature calls for it the body will definitely submit to it because no one can cheat nature, so bedtime is one of the most important times of one's day.

I don't know where to classify myself whether I'm an early bird or a night owl, all I know is that I usually struggle with sleep from 10pm - 12am and I will wake up between 5 - 6:30am🤣🤣🤣

As a teacher you can't be late to work unless you want to be queried. Even without a penalty for lateness, I hate to go to work late, so I always wake up around 5 - 6am so as to be at work at the appropriate time.

Sometimes if I wake up late, let's say around 6:30am or quarter to 7 during weekdays, the only thing I will do is to rush to the bathroom for my bath and quickly dress up for work. I don't like those kinds of days because I won't be able to prepare my breakfast but I will still meet up with the resumption time at work.

But to prevent rushing and missing breakfast, I try as much as possible to sleep early, although not that early per say. Let's say around 10 or 11pm so as to wake up very early in the morning to prepare myself properly for work.

Funny enough I'm not a napper, it's very rare for me to take a nap. My family usually wonder the type of nature I have, as everyone in my family does take a nap except me. Mom usually call me kerosene because of my inability to sleep at my will

For instance, if I'm at home with them and they take naps, I won't be able to sleep. I will just be turning up and down on my bed with my eyes wide open, sleep doesn't come at all for me in the afternoon and even early at night, I have a very rare sleeping nature that I don't understand.

Once I wake up in the morning, I'm always active till late at night when I sleep, I don't doze off while doing a particular thing during the day and I can't sleep very early at night. Sometimes, my colleagues at work do rest their heads on their desk during work hours to take naps at their free periods but it's a NO for me.

I've tried it several times and it doesn't work for me. Even if I pretend and close my eyes this stubborn sleep no go show face at all, who go help me cause the matter tire me🤣🤣 .

So my sleeping routine during work days and weekends are the same, except if I'm sick that's when I do have small changes. I do cherish those that can sleep anytime anywhere but for me hmmm it is well with my soul 🤣🤣
