Hive laser

This is my entry for the Photo Quest competition, promoted by @qurator with the theme Light Graffiti.

The deadline for this competition was almost up, and I wasn't sure what to do when my girlfriend, @xlety, reminded me about it. We took these photos yesterday; it was already late, we had just returned from the gym, but we took some time to produce these images. I'll be honest, I wouldn't know how to do this if it weren't for her, but the idea of writing "Hive" was mine, so she can't brag 100% this time.

I must confess, I felt a little embarrassed doing this here on my street. Imagine seeing someone with a laser waving their arm back and forth late at night. At the time, you wouldn't know what was happening, but the cameras captured the lights in a way that formed a word, and you know what I'm talking about.

It took many attempts to get it right, it's not easy to do this. I had to aim at the right time, get the framing right, and write in reverse since it was a word. But in the end, it worked, and I liked it. I liked it so much that afterward, I went back home, turned off the lights, and continued playing around here. After all, I think the neighbors were about to call the police, saying there was a crazy person in the street with a out-of-control laser.

Estava quase acabando o prazo para esta competição e eu não sabia bem o que fazer, quando minha namorada, @xlety, me lembrou sobre isso. Fizemos estas fotos ontem, já era tarde, acabávamos de voltar da academia, mas tiramos um tempo para produzir essas imagens. Vou ser sincero, eu não saberia como fazer isso se não fosse por ela, mas a ideia de escrever 'Hive' foi minha, então ela não poderá se gabar 100% desta vez.

Confesso também que fiquei um pouco envergonhado fazendo isso aqui na minha rua. Imagine ver alguém com um laser balançando o braço para lá e para cá altas horas da noite. Na hora, não daria para saber o que estava acontecendo, mas as câmeras captaram as luzes de forma a criar uma palavra, e vocês sabem do que estou falando.

Foram muitas tentativas até dar certo, não é muito fácil fazer isso. Tive que mirar no tempo certo, acertar o enquadramento e escrever de forma invertida, já que era uma palavra. Mas no fim, deu certo e eu gostei. Gostei tanto que depois voltei para casa, apaguei as luzes e continuei brincando aqui, afinal, acho que os vizinhos já estavam prestes a ligar para a polícia dizendo que tinha um maluco na rua com um laser descontrolado.
