Why Do I Need To Stake Zing Token? Here's A Detailed Answer

It's been over a month since the Holozing game was introduced to the Hive Blockchain and we've seen that there have been so many interested in the game with most of them investing in the token, Zing. There are those sharing lots of update about their experiences in the upcoming game, mainly their stacking Zing plans.

Delegation are made, staking are done, posh are bought to increase earnings, Goals are achieved... Do we all understand why we are staking this token?

I want to believe many of us do know but I've come across a user who doesn't understand it to an extent but is staking the little he can. That is a good move if this game succeeds and he understands better as time goes on but the earlier the better and so, I thought up this post to share.

The Holozing game is a Web3 game that uses $Zing as an in-game currency, it's function is more than that and the team are working towards that. The use cases of the Zing token are many, it can be traded on secondary markets, used by other Hive-based projects, held by non-Players, and a huge range of other creative uses enabled by Web3 technology. It is a proof that you'll be earning while you play this game even though the amount you'll earn varies depending on many factors while in the game.

Like many other games you must have come across on Hive or even the traditional games, you make use of Zing token for many things in-game. Some of the use cases in - game are:

• Item recharges (e.g. your Capturing Device)
• Crafting gear and gear upgrades/enhancements
• Crafting consumables along with other materials
• Cosmetics
• Tournament entry
• Progression

Of course, you'd understand these better when the game launches and you start playing. But with simple understanding, you get that these are important things you'd need for your game experience to be better and so you'll need to get them while playing. You can only access them with your Zing token which you are staking now.

You can also gift this token to your fellow game players or even non players as it is a token that is tradable. Some would earn a lot of it from playing the game and some wouldn't, while some may find it difficult to play the game and so it makes sense that you could trade or send the token to anyone.

It is also worthy of note that the game can not do anything with your $Zing unless you buy items with it as it belongs only to the person who holds the cryptographic keys to the Hive Engine wallet where the Zing Token is staked to.

More reasons to stake your Zing Token?

When you stake your Zing token, you are keeping it to earn your rewards now but later during the game and time goes on, you're helping to bring stability to the token economy, and it also sends a signal to everyone else that you won’t sell or use these tokens for a while. Distribution at the moment will occur in staked Zing alongside other ways to earn the token.

Full distribution plans for $ZING is promised to be announced soon. But for now and how it has been, rewards are being sent to HP delegations and POSH holders with staked $ZING. Those pending rewards are claimable once every hour. Those who delegated much, those having much Posh and high stakes stand a higher chance of earning more hourly as the APR are higher with them. There is also the liquidity pool way of earning.

Future plans for distribution include activity-based rewards, such as:

• Tournaments/weekly ranked ladders
• Creature collection, based on amount of creatures caught and their rarities
• In-game Professions
• In-game items and gear
• In-game achievements and titles

All these are really exciting in-game activities to look forward to but before that, stake as much Zing Token as you can. You'll not want to be stranded at the beginning of the game at least lol.
