Team SL finally talked about the long awaited SPS Validator Node & License Presale

What’s up my fellow Hivers!

I hope all of you are doing well in your lives while enjoying this awesome game in meantime! If you haven’t been active in last six hours, you probably should go and check the current Splinterlands token prices. Yes, they are flying high now, especially the vouchers with a massive +76.95% price Increase in last 24 hours and SPS with a Whooping +21.91% growth within last day. Even in the last night in my post I was morning about the Splinterlands talk in prices and was hoping to see some updates soon but didn’t actually thought that my wish would become true so early!

Around six hours ago, the splinterlands team has posted a blog on it’s official hive account about the SPS (splintershards) validator note overview and license Pre-sale. Yes they have finally announced about the long-awaited where is it a note release and shared the roadmap purchase details benefits and burn updates. As you can expected who is in minutes vouchers and SPS started moving upwards with high force and within 6 hours, you can watch yourself the chaos its spreading in hive.

Now, let's watch what they shared about the validator node in their recent post at below!

Open Source

As they said, The Validator node software will be hundred percent open source and available for anyone who want to download and run it. There will be no extra charges or restrictions applied to run a node.

DPoS model to support decentralisation

The validator node software will run the SPS governance system and the governance system will work via a delegated proof of stake or DPoS model in which, any account with staked SPS tokens can vote for the accounts who are running validator nodes in order to choose their favourable people to be responsible for evaluating all of the SPS transaction and also to control the SPS foundation funds. No additional costs will be charged to vote with your stated SPS for your favourite people, as it will work similar to what we get Resource Credit (RC) with our Hive power that doesn’t affect our vote value when transacting within the hive chain.

Reward Structure

• Total rewards for the whole Validator Node system will be 3,750,000 SPS per month. Yes, you saw that right -> 3.75 million!

• Now, 10% of the rewards or 375,000 / month will be allocated to the accounts that got voted top by all of our staked SPS accounts and are assigned specific blocks to validate.

• The rest 90% of the reward or 3,375,000 SPS / month will be divided equally among all of the SPS node licence holders that are actively running the node software. Node licences will be sold later on in splinterlands.

• It is also possible and allowed for anyone to earn from both pools if you get elected via staked SPS votes and also holds one or multiple node licences.

• Apart from the 90% of total SPS pool rewards, the node licences holders will also get a equal share of 20000 voucher tokens per day as an extra incentive for buying the node licences.

Upcoming Sale

• Node licences are planned to go on sale within approximately one month and the exact date will be announced soon. However, the SPS validator software will get launched at approx. Q4 of this year. The node licences will be NFTs which can be transferable.

• A total of 60,000 Node licences will be available in total. Licences will be sold in phases and each time a phase gets sold out, the later phase will be selling licences at higher prices and so on.

• In the pre sale, which will be happening after a month, the SPS validator node licences will start being sold for 1000$ in SPS + 500 Vouchers. After pre-sale ends, in tranche 1, they will be sold for for 3000$ in SPS and will get increased every time it goes to next stage.

Thou after pre-sale, Vouchers will not be required to buy node licences, you get discount in node price in exchange for vouchers while buying. For example: in Tranche 1, for exchanging each voucher, it will reduce 3$ cost of the node licence. However, maximum discount that will be rebated through vouchers is 50% of the node licence price.

The sale structure of these SPS validator nodes are created in a way that thou the pre-sale may get sold out quickly, the completion of the whole 60,000 nodes will take probably years, taking a look at the node licence prices at later tranche stages.
