Splinterlands | Finally got my first max level Gladius card

What’s up my fellow Splinterlands Players!

I hope all of you are doing well in your life and enjoying the day with your family and friends. For the ones who play splinterlands on a daily basis like me, I hope all of you are totally focused on playing the game because only a couple of hours left for the ongoing ranked season to end. I hope you have already reached your goal this season and if not, try your level best because the clock is ticking and the season is about to get reset pretty soon. Now talking about me, I had reached successfully the Champ League which is my goal for this season but then since yesterday I have lost more matches than I won and as expected, it caused me to move down to the Diamond I tier again. Now, only around 4 hours left and thou I am about to play again after posting this blog, I don't think I will be able to reach back champ again, but still I will keep trying and let’s see if I can beat the odds.

MY SEASON STAT

Right now, my trophy rating is 3,500 and I need 200 more trophies to reach into Champ III tier again. On the other hand, the large amount of SPS that I rented expired last night and both my Boost and Glint/Win stats have decreased to almost half now. I have again placed an order in the SPS delegation market and hoping to get it filled and this time I ordered a little more, 300k SPS rent at a rate of 0.003 DEC per SPS delegation. If you are playing this game and don't have a significantly owned staked SPS and want to earn a good amount of SPS and glint, then you may try renting some SPS to temporarily boost your earnings upon every win in ranked matches. Anyway, till now I have earned around 161k Glint in this season and will try to reach 175k Glints before the season ends, however, I don't think the season end bloodbath will allow me to win much, as almost all the players of this game get active around this time and play their best.

BRAWL

Now moving on, let us now talk about Brawls and for those who don't know or are new to this game, brawl is another playing arena of this game where we players take part not as individuals but fight together in a guild against other guilds. Just like ranked matches or tournaments, playing Brawl is also very rewarding and depending on which position your guild secures in the leaderboard, every participating member of that guild gets rewarded with SPS and Merit points. Now talking about me, I have been playing for a long time in The Guild Of Neoxian and we play Brawls on a regular basis and participate in every brawl. Just recently we finished playing another brawl and this time we placed second in the leaderboard. Thanks to our Guild owner Mr. Neoxian, Guild Officer Xawi and all my fellow Guild Mates who gave their top effort and together we were able to snatch second place this time. As for rewards, our guild won a total of 202 crowns and each participating member of our guild who played all of their frays got rewarded with 585.099 SPS and 12,120 merit points each. So as you can clearly see, playing Brawl is a good source of not only earning SPS but Merits as well.

MERITS AND GLADIUS

Merit points are an in-game currency just like Glint points and can not be traded or transferred. But merit is very valuable in the game because it is the only currency with which you can buy Gladius packs and get rare Gladius edition cards. These Gladius cards can not be bought or sold in the market nor they can be transferred to other accounts and the only way you can get these Gladius cards is to actually play the game and collect merit points. I have been collecting merit points and buying Gladius packs for a long time now and have a decent collection of Gladius cards in my account. Even though they are not maxed level, still they help me really well in battle as they are a bit more powerful than most of the normal cards out there.

OPENING 23 GLADIUS PACKS

Now, after the prize distribution of the last brawl which I talked about above, I also got my share and then went to the Guild shop to check my total Merit count. I didn't check my merit count for a while, as I wanted to buy and open a bunch of Gladius packs at once and today when I finally went to check, I was surprised to see that I have saved more than 46k Merits in my account which is enough to buy 23 gladius packs. So without thinking anymore, I straight away bought 23 packs and opened them all at once and shared the outcome below.

OUTCOME

As you can see from the screenshots above, this time my luck wasn't that bad as I got my hands upon a legendary card, Gini Guise after a long time. I also got one gold foil rare, 3 gold foil commons, 3 epics including 2 Quora and all the rest as rare and common cards. I was really happy to receive the legendary Gini because getting a legendary card from Gladius packs is a rare event and also for the 2x Quora because it is my favorite Gladius card just like many of you.

MY FIRST MAX GLADIUS

After opening those Gladius packs and getting those cool cards, I went to check my Gladius card collection to inspect if any of my Gladius cards got enough BCX to be upgraded to the next level. That was where my happiness burst because when I looked upon the Water monster RELENOR CLEAVER, I found out I had enough cards to upgrade it to max level! After years of collecting these gladius cards, I finally got able to max my first gladius card and it is indeed an achievement because if you play the game, you do know how hard it is to get your hands on them. Now it is time to test my first max level gladius card out in the arena and I will share its performance in one of my future posts.
