How to React When Your Posts Don't Get Enough Attention

Hello friends. Two weeks ago, we were asked "How do you deal with the frustration when your posts don't get the recognition that they deserve?"

My reply was "I don't, because:

While it's true that I enjoy writing about subjects that interests me, the question however made me reflect. While I am writing for my own pleasure, there is also another side of the coin which is the audience. Likes/upvotes shows the reader's response to what I write. So are responses/comments which means my posts catches the interests of the audience enough that they will engage.

One of my favorite topics I write about are movie reviews because I like watching movies and TV series. I like it so much that I subscribed to several streaming services. 😅 Sometimes, I'd watch something that relates to me personally or professionally that I'd research further on the subject then write a review. However, I don't get much attention whether my piece deserved it or not. So I read the works of other authors/bloggers who also write reviews with a lot of upvotes. I must admit that compared to mine, theirs are better written and has a structure. While I just wrote what was on my mind, the other reviews look like the work of professional reviewers.

So, going back to the original question: "How do you deal with the frustration when your posts don't get the recognition that they deserve?" After thinking about it, I will change my answer to: I will review my post and think about how to make it better. Instead of being frustrated, I will keep a positive mindset and treat it as a learning experience. I will read the works of other people and try to learn what makes their style better and hopefully improve upon my own.

Thank you for reading. We are alive!

That's a cool perspective and reasoning.
When we don't get the desired response from a post, is better for one to go back to check the reason for not getting attention then getting angry.

Nice write dear.

"Upvote" and "Engagements" are two different things here on Hive. We see some average or below average posts get good upvotes (that's one kind of attention as well), regularly. Because, it's in the radar of "someone with high power". On the other hand, for the engagement, quality and content of a post are quite important. However, amid many "curation collections", sometimes we are getting good engagement on our posts. Because, we get some incentives for that :)
