My Road to 100k SPS Staked: 98% Completed + My latest Card Upgrade Targets
I am a Splinterlands player since September 2019 and to date I have played:
- 25557 battles in the Wild Format
- 8448 battles in the Modern Format
Over the years there have been so many changes in the structure of the game and so many changes in the dynamics of the game.
I have always tried to modify and adapt my Splinterlands game strategy and asset accumulation goals according to the changes over time.
Initially, cards were the most important asset in Splinterlands and some cards had really high market values in the past.
Today cards have lost a lot of value compared to the past but they are still important for playing and winning game battles.
The basic strategy I have adopted on Splinterlands so far is to sell cards that I do not use in battle or that I use little in battle in order to buy cards that I can use in battle.
I have chosen to be primarily a player instead of a card collector, and this strategy has allowed me to remain over the years almost always competitive in the Diamond leagues (when there was no Modern format) and in the Modern Format's Gold leagues (today).
Over these years I have always had growth goals on Splinterlands and right now I have two main goals that I would like to achieve as soon as possible:
- Surpass 100K SPS staked.
- Play in Modern Format's Gold+ leagues from the beginning to the end of the game seasons.
As for my goal related to SPS tokens, I am very close to reaching my goal because I have surpassed 98K SPS staked!
I have reached 98% of my accumulation goal for SPS tokens but, knowing me, I already know that in all likelihood once I reach my goal I will immediately set another higher one.
Out of curiosity today, I searched through my posts to find the last post in which I shared my progress related to SPS tokens and found the post that I posted on March 4, 2024, the day I had 90073 SPS staked.
From March 4, 2024 to today, June 5, 2024, 96 days have passed, and in this time interval I have increased the amount of SPS tokens in my possession by +8050 SPS.
Today, June 8, 2024, the value of 1 SPS is:
- 0.03585873 SWAP.HIVE (Highest Bid Value).
- 0.03625640 SWAP.HIVE (Lowest Ask Value)
Based on the current value of the HIVE token, the value of the best bid for 1 SPS is $0.0103990.
This means that in 96 days I earned +8050 SPS = 288.66 HIVE = $83.71 = $0.87 per day
The value of SPS tokens has decreased in recent months, but earning $0.87 to play and have fun on Splinterlands I consider it a good return.
I will most likely continue to accumulate the staked SPS tokens even after I reach my accumulation goal because SPS tokens have many use cases within the Splinterlands ecosystem including one use case that is very important to me: the ability to vote Proposals and Pre-Proposals
One of my dreams on Splinterlands is to see bots completely eliminated even in Wild Format and if there is a proposal in the future that goes in this direction I would like to have more decisive decision-making weight than I currently have.
Accumulating the SPS tokens is also important to me because the SPS tokens could also have use cases in future projects developed by Splinterlands as was the case with the airdrop of GLX tokens of the Genesis League Goals game and as was the case with the airdrop of COLONY tokens of the Arcade Colony platform under development.

I am also a liquidity provider in the pool PKM:SPS in which I have a 0.105% share and I get a daily gain in DEC, SPS, PKM and VOUCHER tokens.
My main source of earning SPS tokens is my playing activity in the ranked battles of Modern Format, and if I can improve my win rate in Modern Format I can also increase my earning in SPS tokens.
In the current season my win rate has increased (+4.32%) and I hope it will continue to increase before the end of the season.
To increase my win rate I need to continue my activity of improving the battle strength of my card collection usable in Modern Format.
I have three active bid offers to make upgrades of the Great Porcupine, Supply Runner and Magi of Chaos cards.
Thanks to the recent sale of some cards I was not using in battle, I have increased the amount of DEC tokens in my possession and can plan for new purchases and upgrades.
My new upgrade goal is VRUZ: level 8 -> level 10
Vruz is a monster card that I use very frequently in battle, and at level 10 Vruz becomes an even more useful and versatile card in battle because it increases its speed by +1 compared to level 8 and also acquires the True Strike ability so that it has a 100% chance of its attack success.
To make this upgrade, I chose to make a bid purchase for 179 BCX.
If my purchase offer will be accepted I will spend about $20 and will have saved about $4 compared to the cost of the immediate purchase.
In conclusion I share a battle in which I used level 8 Vruz to show its usefulness in battle and its versatility and also to show why I decided to upgrade to the maximum level.
In the battle you can see by clicking on the following link, Vruz makes two attacks before being eliminated but fails both.
Vruz was still useful in the battle because he has the Martyr ability but if he also had the True Strike ability he could have hit the opponent's card twice before being eliminated but instead he missed the attack twice.
In fact it wouldn't have changed the battle much even with Vruz at the highest level because the card in last position had 7 starting armor points but in other battles and against cards that have high speeds the True Strike ability becomes very important.

Sono un giocatore di Splinterlands dal mese di settembre 2019 e fino ad oggi ho giocato:

In questi anni si sono susseguiti tanti cambiamenti nella struttura del gioco e tanti cambiamenti nelle dinamiche di gioco.
Io ho sempre cercato di modificare e adattare la mia strategia di gioco e i miei obiettivi di accumulo degli assets di Splinterlands in base alle modifiche apportate nel tempo.
Inizialmente erano le carte l'asset più importante di Splinterlands ed alcune carte hanno avuto dei valori di mercato davvero alti in passato.
Oggi le carte hanno perso molto valore rispetto al passato ma sono comunque importanti per giocare e per vincere le battaglie di gioco.
La strategia di base che ho seguito su Splinterlands fino ad ora è quella di vendere le carte che non uso in battaglia o che uso poco in battaglia per acquistare le carte che posso utilizzare in battaglia con maggior profitto.
Ho scelto di essere principalmente un giocatore invece che un collezionista di carte e questa strategia mi ha permesso di rimanere in questi anni quasi sempre competitivo nelle leghe Diamond (quando non c'era il formato Modern) e nelle leghe Gold del Modern Format (oggi).
In questi anni ho avuto sempre degli obiettivi di crescita su Splinterlands e in questo momento ho due obiettivi principali che vorrei raggiungere nel più breve tempo possibile:
- superare i 100K SPS staked
- Giocare nelle leghe Gold+ del Modern Format dall'inizio alla fine delle stagioni di gioco
Per quanto riguarda il mio obiettivo relativo ai token SPS sono molto vicino a raggiungere il mio obiettivo perchè ho superato i 98K SPS staked!
Ho raggiunto il 98% del mio obiettivo di accumulo per i token SPS ma, conoscendomi, so già che con molta probabilità una volta raggiunto il mio obiettivo ne fisserò subito un altro più alto.
Per curiosità oggi ho cercato tra i miei post l'ultimo post in cui ho condiviso i miei progressi relativi ai token SPS e ho trovato il post che ho pubblicato il 4 marzo 2024, giorno in cui avevo 90073 SPS staked.
Dal 4 marzo 2024 ad oggi 5 giugno 2024 sono passati 96 giorni e in questo intervallo di tempo ho incrementato il quantitativo di token SPS in mio possesso di +8050 SPS.
Oggi 8 giugno 2024 il valore di 1 SPS è:
- 0.03585873 SWAP.HIVE (Highest Bid Value)
- 0.03625640 SWAP.HIVE (Lowest Ask Value)
In base al valore attuale del token HIVE il valore della migliore offerta di acquisto per 1 SPS è 0.0103990$.
Questo vuol dire che in 96 giorni ho guadagnato +8050 SPS = 288.66 HIVE = 83.71$ = 0.87$ per day
Il valore dei token SPS è diminuito negli ultimi mesi ma guadagnare 0.87$ per giocare e divertirmi su Splinterlands lo considero un buon guadagno.
Con molta probabilità continuerò ad accumulare i token SPS staked anche dopo aver raggiunto il mio obiettivo di accumulo perchè i token SPS hanno molti casi d'uso all'interno dell'ecosistema di Splinterlands tra cui un caso d'uso molto importante per me: la possibilità di votare le Proposals e le Pre-Proposals
Uno dei miei sogni su Splinterlands è vedere i bots completamente eliminati anche nel Wild Format e se in futuro ci sarà una proposal che andrà in questa direzione mi piacerebbe avere un peso decisionale più determinante di quello che ho attualmente.
Accumulare i token SPS è importante per me anche perchè i token SPS potrebbero avere casi d'uso anche nei futuri progetti sviluppati da Splinterlands come è avvenuto per l'airdrop dei token GLX del gioco Genesis League Goals e come è avvenuto per l'airdrop dei token COLONY della piattaforma in fase di sviluppo Arcade Colony.

Sono anche un liquidity provider nella pool PKM:SPS nella quale ho uno share 0.105% e ottengo giornalemente un guadagno in token DEC, SPS, PKM e VOUCHER.
La mia fonte principale di guadagno dei token SPS è la mia attività di gioco nelle ranked battles del Modern Format e se riuscirò a migliorare il mio win rate nel Modern Format potrò aumentare anche il mio guadagno in token SPS.
Nella stagione in corso il mio win rate è aumentato (+4.32%) e spero che continui ad aumentare prima della fine della stagione.
Per aumentare il mio win rate devo continuare la mia attività di miglioramento della forza in battaglia della mia collezione di carte utilizzabile nel Modern Format.
Ho tre offerte di acquisto bid attive per fare gli upgrades delle carte Great Porcupine, Supply Runner e Magi of Chaos.
Grazie alla recente vendita di alcune carte che non usavo in battaglia ho aumentato il quantitativo di token DEC in mio possesso e posso pianificare nuovi acquisti e upgrades.
Il mio nuovo obiettivo di upgrade è VRUZ: level 8 -> level 10
Vruz è una carta mostro che uso molto frequentemente in battaglia e al livello 10 Vruz diventa una carta ancora più utile e versatile in battaglia perchè aumenta la sua velocità di +1 rispetto al livello 8 e acquisisce anche l'abilità True Strike in modo da avere una probabilità di successo del suo attacco del 100%.
Per effettuare questo upgrade ho scelto di effettuare un'offerta di acquisto BID per 179 BCX.
Se la mia offerta di acquisto sarà accettata spenderò circa 20$ e avrò risparmiato circa 4$ rispetto al costo dell'acquisto immediato.
In conclusione condivido una battaglia in cui ho utilizzato Vruz di livello 8 per mostrare la sua utilità in battaglia e la sua versatilità e anche per mostrare il perchè della mia decisione di fare l'upgrade al livello massimo.
Nella battaglia che puoi vedere cliccando sul seguente link, Vruz fa due attacchi prima di essere eliminato ma li fallisce entrambi.
Vruz è stato comunque utile in battaglia perchè ha l'abilità Martyr ma se avesse avuto anche l'abilità True Strike avrebbe potuto colpire la carta avversaria due volte prima di essere eliminata e invece ha mancato due volte l'attacco.
In realtà non sarebbe cambiata molto la battaglia anche con Vruz di livello massimo perchè la carta in ultima posizione aveva 7 punti armatura di partenza ma in altre battaglie e contro carte che hanno velocità alte l'abilità True Strike diventa molto importante.

Congratulations on being close to your SPS goal. I haven't really checked the proposals much but I wonder if the bot busting changes are hurting the real players more. I have heard a few changes that they want to make such as implementing a fee for Wild league. I wonder if it isn't enough to ban the bots or move them to Wild forever. It shouldn't hurt Modern as much but I guess they might be worried about Glint.

I'm thinking of buying some SPS with fiat, but I am torn between choices
I also have my eye on some key cards that I want to upgrade to max, like Immortalis, I need 4 more and I'm currently trying to be patient and secure them via bids. I also want a max Lorkus , I need 8 more of those, that's the one that is really competing in my mind for the SPS funds.
I'm not in a hurry though, I think both SPS and Lorkus are more likely to be cheaper in a months time and it looks like bids for Immortalis are being filled slowly. Although I'm not so certain about Lorkus dropping much in price very soon, and of course in a months time we will have a new Legendary Rebellion summoner that I will need to fond 8 BCX of to max ( I get 3 guaranteed from airdrops).
And just to complicate things, I am finding some AMAZING silver level Untamed cards at crazy low prices.
There is always something I need more cash for :-) , maybe the release of Soulkeep will boost my Nightmare pack value , I may convert some of those into cash
