Life Update : Becoming a godfather, moving to the countryside and preparing for "Winter"

2019-2022 were the best years in my life as I quit my job to go full time crypto, experienced a bull run from start to finish, connected with awesome like-minded people and built Skatehive community into what it is right now, lived the big city life experience and most importantly realized how the world really works.

Life is getting busier and more complex as I grow up (I'm 30) and I am at this point right now where I need to make some serious decisions about the path I wanna follow. Let's talk about that!

Becoming a godfather

A few months ago my homie Alex asked me to become the godfather of his newly-born son and of course I agreed to that in an instant. I am friends with Alex since we're 14 and asking me to become the godfather of his son is trully an honor.

Christening will happen on July 30 and as a godfather I want my godson Johny, the most beautiful baby on earth (sorry @boeltermc 😆) to have the time of his life this day.

My responsibilities are to ensure that nothing is missing from the ceremony and I've almost completed my part. Getting familiar to the baby day by day, arranged who we will invite, organized the after party and of course bought my godson a sweet platinum chain to remind him of this day.

Only thing that's left is to buy him a pair of cool clothes to wear after the ceremony and I think I found I really cool "Peaky Blinders" outfit for him. G-style hehehe!

Feeling a little anxious about it but there's nothing more I can do than what I already did except loving and taking care of my godson like he is my own child forever!

Moving to the country

Me and @illusivelf spent a dope 2 years at Thessaloniki, the 2nd largest city in Greece and we moved back in our hometown just over a week ago.

We made many new friends, lived the big city life, enjoyed the variety of options a big city has to offer and both made some sweet progress in our work. After these last 6 months though we realized that living a comfortable life in a big city is no longer possible unless you're making a shitload of money and that's the reason we decided to try something new, move to the countryside.

On September we will move to a seaside cottage located at a small village close to Preveza city and we are both stoked about it! @illusivelf owns this cottage which we will turn into our main residence and even though it needs TONS of work to become a real house we're getting there slowly.

Last week we did repairs non-stop for 3 days and took a few photos to show you the place.

Beautiful ain't it?

Plenty of space for Biggie (our dog) to run wild and free, beautiful and calming view for both of us and no rent which means less money hustle for both of us! Less hustle means more time to focus on our work and follow our real goals instead of working just to survive!

Preparing for "Winter"

Life is getting less and less affordable every day and that's just the tip of the iceberg of what's coming.

Energy crisis, wars, inflation rates exploding, Euro collapsing and many more are creating an explosive future mix which was almost impossible to imagine a few years ago.

Most of us take things like food, gas, water for granted right now but this won't be the case in the near future. Hope I am wrong but the future I see is not a bright one! People will struggle to just buy a kilo of bread, crime rates will go up as poverty hits all time high and life in the cities will become impossible for the normies.

After lots of though both me and @illusivelf came to the conclusion that we need to prepare as better as we can for what's to come and the first step is to move to the country so we can cut of all our fake consumer needs , start living a more simplistic life, become self-sustainable by cultivating our own food and start connecting with nature more.

Countryside life is not easy but is sure as hell is better feel safe, more chill and prepared for what's about to come!

Less things to worry about, more time for personal evolution

wow dude! so happy for you! i cant wait to get out out the city. you are very fortunate to have the opportunity to relocate to a much more human environment. humans arn't meant to live in cities i don't think. more and more cities kinda feel like free-range prisons. at least chicago does lol. i look forward to seeing the projects on your house that you work on!

I feel you bro, cities are fun for us skaters but unfortunatelly life in the cities becomes unsastainable as time goes by. I prefer to live in the countryside and visit the city for a skate sesh or to have fun once in a while rather than trying to survive in one!

Do you have any future plans about moving out of Chicago?

i do not know. perhaps i will relocate up to Minnesota where my family lives. i still need to stay in chicago for probably another year to solidify my art career more before i settle in a smaller community. to make an art career you have to be in a big city where lots of people have money

Well, first, I'd like to congratulate the new best man.
And then congratulate the couple for the courage of a new start.
I loved the view from the window, very amazing, too beautiful.
And I loved the space for Biggie to run and play happily.
A lot of health to the mini skater who is coming to the world!
looking forward to seeing the post about the routine in the new house,
Happiness ma G!

Wish you all the best. I am afraid, that you may ve right on your expectations for the future. I as well hope we both are wrong. But preparing is never wrong.

How are you taking care of energy and water? These are the two most important things to be independend I guess.

We have a couple huge tanks of water at the house we will be moving and they fill with rain water! Filter that and we have tons of clean water. Also the region I live in, Epirous is full of clean rivers so I think we will be the last in Greece without water hehe!

About energy, the plan is to have as many solar panels as I can long-term so I can produce energy without the need of 3rd parties. The energy part is the difficult part, needs lot of research before we make any moves but for now that's the plan. We already have 1 big solar panel and hope we can keep 'em coming hehe!

Especially for the enegy. Make sure to have the right equipment. Some is not able to be used without eneegy themselves. We are just having our own research ongoing for this matter.
