STORY OF NO PURPOSE

This is a short story about purpose. It is my original work created out of my own imagination.

A lot of motivational speakers have emphasized the need for every Individual to live a distinct, independent and a purposeful life. This is my idea of how parents affect their children negatively with regard to this subject matter.

STORY: WITHOUT PURPOSE
A man had just one daughter which he cherished so much more than anything on earth. He dedicated everything he had towards her welfare, growth, education and development. It was as if he was saving his own daughter for himself. From birth he became a necessary part of her existence.

They never really had privacy. They were father and daughter, but it was as if they had nothing to hide from each other due to the special treatment she got from her father. From the kind of food she ate, kind of cloths she wore, down to the kind of friends she kept and places she visited up to the kind of course she chose in the University were all decided by her father. He never allowed anything to interfere in between, so she continued to live in total obedience and followership of her father.

After her graduation from school, her father decided to relocate in search of greener pasture. To the place they relocated to, this young Beautiful lady had become so mature, gotten a job and decided to further her education all as a result of the choices of her father. She started to like and gradually loved the place. But her father could not cope, so he had to return back to where he came from. His daughter not satisfied with the decision followed the man as always.

Days became weeks, Weeks became months as months became years. She continued to live under the whims and caprices of her father. Her father became desperate and in need of grandchildren. Anxious by fear of death without grandchildren, he was able to convince his daughter to have kids beyond the regular manner. Obviously, she had no serious thing on for herself not to talk of a marital relationship.

Faced with the reality of the situation, she gave birth to twins and they cared and provided for the kids. Like one happy home, the routine went on. After giving birth to another child with nobody to hold responsible as a father, this man died and left his daughter. She was now left alone stranded.

MORAL LESSON
If you do not get a purpose for yourself, you will feast on other peoples purpose. We are duty bound to identify your purpose and live your purpose. If not, our lives will be no different from that of animals. Sadly, this young lady now a woman would likely pass down the routine to her children due to her purposeless fathers lack of purpose.

Indeed, it is fundamental to understand your purpose in life.
