How a special someone encourages and supports my writing journey

I can't remember the last time I could do my favorite things in the presence of another person. I used to hide things for Africa, so it was rather shocking that I didn't hold back from doing any of those things while he was around. He even encouraged me to do them before we ran off to play.

He's not only my muse but also a source of inspiration. Right now, you are reading a post that is written around him, just when I thought nothing was forthcoming. He inspires me to do my best and ensures that I stick to my writing goals. Every morning or evening, he calls to ask if I have completed my writing for the day. I told him about my 365 days hivebuzz badge goals, and he makes sure to remind me to publish my post before the clock strikes 12.

Any of those days when I struggle to come up with something to share, he teases me, and before I know it, I draw inspiration from his teasing and put together my writing. Sometimes, I wonder what I would have done if I had not met him or allowed myself to be vulnerable to him. Maybe everything would have been completely different, and I probably wouldn't have had a muse for my writing today.

But every day when I talk to him and see him on weekends, I stare into his eyes, and gratitude fills my heart, thanking the universe for sending him my way. I find the chance to always remind him that I am happy I met him and that he means so much to me in ways even my writing ink will fail to outline clearly. He laughs, blushes, and then throws me off the scent with his funny comments, but I always know that he understands I mean everything I say to him.

This evening, I sat on my bed, leaning against the wall, while he prepared dinner for us. I tried to create a financial post for my main account, and I laughed at his comments from the kitchen. Once he was done cooking, he laid his head on my lap and scrolled through his phone while I continued working on my article.

When I finished, I stared at him once more, and it dawned on me that my shy nature of always postponing tasks when someone is around because I do not feel comfortable had been thrown out of the window. I wrote as comfortably as I have always been, and each step of the way, his encouraging words echoed, "Go and write, you know I'll always love to hear that you tackle all your tasks for the day and more."

Once I publish this, I'll remember to give him a peck and hold onto his beautiful face because I know I'll probably not see him again for a while. I hope that the little time we shared will be enough until next time.
