A GREATER LOVE
The first quarter of the year is already gone and the last month was quite an amazing one for me. Well, I don't celebrate neither Easter nor Ramadan and I know right now someone is wondering what religion I am, hehe. Well, I'm someone that believes in Christ Jesus and my utmost priority is doing just what he says because that's what can save me or anyone in the end. I don't really know why some Christians celebrate Christmas but I've searched far and wide in the holy Bible but I've never seen where Christ asked his apostles or where the apostles practice such.
Anyways, I do know that before Christ died he instituted a feast which we popular call the Lord's supper or holy Communion. Christ was specific as he told them in turn to anyone who believes (Christians) to do it to to remembering him and also proclaim his death until he comes again. And when I searched further to know how often the apostles observed that feast, I discovered they did it every first day of the week which is every Sunday.
So having all of these things in mind, I'm still a bit not sure why some Christians choose to celebrate something that their master which is Jesus Christ didn't asked them to do. And we didn't even see the apostles do too. But then, surprisingly, the Easter holiday is world wide so the holiday is definitely going to be for everyone but for me that was just another day to stay at home and go about my daily activities.
Since I get reminded of the death of Christ every Sunday, I just start my week always filled with hope and assurance that God has a plan for my life and I try as much as I can to do the things that pleases God and also I try as much as I can to love everyone the way I should not the way I can. Try Learning from my mistakes and always being grateful for whatever situation I find myself and having it in my mind that it could be someone else.
The fact that I know that there is one who could lay his life for me even when I didn't deserve it, I always thought to myself, why then can't I at least try to be good to those around me. Well, it's not easy but then the more I try to do it the better I get at it and it has helped me see life in a whole different way from so many people. Sometimes I do feel like just caring about myself alone but I know that would only make others think that Christ is a joke and I know he isn't.
Showing love to others is one way to prove to anyone that indeed there is one who has Loved us first. I think trying to show love to others as much as I could was the highlight of last month for me. Sometimes people always say love doesn't exist and in my mind I just know that that person is also finding it hard to believe that God exists too or maybe they don't even believe he exists at all. Because God is love! And if you don't believe in one you can't really believe in the other because they go together that is God and Love.
The past month was incredible and I was able to accomplish quite a lot of things and I'm super grateful and blessed for having the chance to be in a new month and continue in this journey.

About Christmas and Easter celebration, you are right. It was not stated anywhere in the Scriptures but people felt celebrating the birth and death of Jesus should be a significant thing with the significance of His birth and death. These days, so many people have gone way to far all in the name of celebrating Jesus, which is wrong motive. It's not a sin if you do not celebrate it though.
Love exist! And yeah, God is love. Anyone who say love doesn't exist must be having very little or no love shown towards them.

Well, I did read the part of the scriptures that say we shouldn't add or subtract and knowing that the kind of God we serve is all knowing, I don't think it's safe doing anything (even though it's good to us) when he hasn't said we should.
God's way and our way is like how high the heavens is from the Earth, hehe. He has spoken through his son and if we want to be his children we have to listen to his son and him alone not what we feel or think 🥰. Anyways, the scary part is we all have our choice on what and what not to believe.

Christ Himself is an embodiment of love and I take everyday of my life appreciating Him for giving ne life. Showing love to others is one of the ways of celebrating of both His birth and death. Thanks for this wonderful post lady

Christ himself loved us so much that he gave his only begotten son for our sake. The main things is about remembering the love of God towards us and showing love to others.

lol the first few statement was shouting Jehovah witness baby, if we have to visit most christian celebrations and stuff because they aren't written in the bible, we will have to visit some deeper part of christianity but the most important is God is love

Well, the Bible is our only manual and if we don't do what it says only as Christians there will be a lot of controversies and that's what we are seeing already actually.

When it comes to Bible, I am very careful because it is deep and no one has ever understood it better and no one will. The more you think you understand, the deeper it is getting.
Celebrating the death or birth of Jesus is not started in the Bible but to the best of my understanding, when Jesus was born, the whole world rejoice, the angels spread the news to the three wise men.. Hallelujah the king is born, go and worship him...
I believe Christians took from this and saw the need to celebrate his birth, if which it is not bad though
The issue here is how every Christian tend to do it that matters because some the over do😂
Most of the things happening today are not written in the Bible especially the miracles but you will be surprised that God might be pleased with them. His was are not our ways. Moreover, he instructed the apostle to go and do exploit in the world.

Hehe, the fact that you think the Bible is deep that's how it's going to be for you. Timothy said study to show yourself approved unto every good work, a workman rightly dividing the word of truth.
If you said no one can ever understand the Bible then it means God doesn't want anyone to be saved and that is totally not true. There are people who know the actual truth of the Bible and that is because they gave themselves to studying it.
The Bible is one of the simplest books to understand but then the major problem is most people are not following the teachings of Christ, instead they are following the teachings of Moses and the teachings of men.
Like you said, God's way and our ways are not the same. Yes, people celebrated on the day Christ was born but then did Christ himself ever celebrated the day he was born for the 33 years he lived on this Earth? At least if it was so important he would have celebrated it once or he would have told his apostles to do so but then he didn't.
But then, before he died, Christ himself instituted the feast called the Lord's supper and he told his apostles to do it to remember him. So basically, the Lord's supper is the only feast Christians were asked to do to remember Christ and it was given to them directly by the master himself, not by apostle Paul or any other apostles. And also it was not based on whether or not we think it's good or not.
If you keep shying away from Learning the word of God because you think it's deep, then you will never get to understand the mystery in it. Keep studying, make your research, ask questions and grow because Christ told us that the words which he has spoken are what will judge us on the last day.

If you can't love the one you do not see, how then can you express love to those you see on a daily basis? God is love and if you must practice love to others, you have to love God first.
I am so grateful too that I can show love to those around me and this, in my way is the perfect way to demonstrate Christ's love for me and others. When we truly love others, people will easily be drawn to Christ through us because to them, we are the perfect example of how Christ loved all.
