🐊Battle Mage Secrets Weekly Challenge: 💞Back To Basics

Hello splinterlands lovers and friends across the world 🌍🌎, happy new year to you. It is very important right now to plan your goals for 2024. Year 2024 started a few days ago, and it doesn't wait for anyone. That is the reason you also need to plan your life now and start work on it.

We are to talk about the important ruleset in this week's battle mage secrets challenge. ‘Back to the basics rule’ is one of the rules you don't have to consider the ability of the summoner when making the choice of monsters in battle. This is because the abilities of monsters are irrelevant in this battle.

Rulesets

Weak Magic: Magic attack hit armor before reducing health.
This is just the case, magic attack monsters hit armor before reducing health; it is unlike other rules that magic attack hit health directly.

Back to Basics: Monsters lose all abilities.
Monsters abilities are useless here.

What Doesn't Kill You: All Monsters have the enrage ability.
This was the reason Kraken speed and melee increased in this battle.

Summoner
Alric Stormbringer

Splinter: Water Summoner 🌊💦
Level: 4⭐⭐⭐⭐
Ability: +1 magic attack to all friendly monsters.
Looking at this battle, the sweetest summoners to use are the summoners with magic ability. This is because when such a summoner gives additional magic attack to friendly monsters; such monsters 😁😨 would have more attacking force.
There's no point in using a summoner with additional melee in this battle such as Malric Inferno or Tarsa. The reason was that the only melee monster 💩💀 in the first position was allowed to attack in this battle; which simply means other melee attack could not attack due to back to basics rule.
Therefore, using summoners and monsters that give additional melee to friendly monsters is a waste of time. If you watch the battle very well, you would realize that!y opponent used deeplurker and Pelacor Bandit in the 5th and 6th positions. Both monsters did not attack in the battle until they reached first position. By the time they reached first position, they were not allowed to attack.
Hence, players can use summoners with abilities in this battle because the ability of summoners will be effective just like you saw how the magic ability of Alric Stormbringer was effective on all my monsters.
Using summoners with range ability is good; this type of summoners give ranged attacks to ranged monsters.
The only conditions that melee monsters can attack in any direction is when melee mayhem and Super Sneak rulesets attach to Back to Basics rule. So, using summoners with melee ability will be beneficial.

Note: range attack monsters can not attack in first position even if such monsters have close range ability; they won't be able to attack in first position. It is important to take a wise decision when dealing with the Back to Basics rule.

The two important factors when Back to Basics rule is given are:

• Health of monsters: this is very important when such a rule is given. That was the reason I selected monsters with the highest numbers of health in first, second and third positions.
• Magic monsters: any of my summoners that lead the battle would be able to attack if there is a chance to attack. This is one reason magic monsters are the best choice for this type of rule.

Note: no matter how powerful are the abilities of your monsters in this type of battle, it won't work. That is the reason one needs to do away with ability monsters.
The speed is also very important: the higher the speed of monsters, the better chance to attack faster. Speed is also very crucial.

The Kraken

Armor: 5 ⚒️⚒️⚒️
Attack: Melee
Mana: 12
The first monster that came to my mind was the Kraken.
Why Kraken?
According to the rule of Back to Basics; melee monsters can only attack in first position.
The health and armor of the Kraken made it the perfect monster for first position.
If not back to basic rule, it wouldn't have been easy to destroy Baakjira.
Baakjira was the first monster that was eliminated in this battle. The reason was because all my monsters attacked Baakjira.
The enrage ability was part of the rule of which I believe the enrage ability would be activated in The Kraken. Fortunately, after three attacks from the opponent's monsters, the Enrage ability was activated; the Kraken’s melee increased to 6.

Djinn Oshannus

Djinn oshannus must be in this battle. It is always part of my plans when ‘back to basics rule’ is given to me. ****Oshannus**** can be used in any position; not only in ‘Back to Basics rule’ but all the rules in splinterlands.
The speed of Djinn Oshannus was another factor that triggered me to use it. It was the first monster that attacked my lineup in this battle. The number of health was also much; I believe if the Kraken was eliminated, Djiin Oshannus would be able to hold the attack of opponent's monsters for a while.

Nerissa Tridawn

Splinter: Water 💦💦💦
Level: 2⭐⭐
Speed: 2🚤 🚤
Health: 10❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹
Attack: Magic
Mana: 9
One of the things I love 💕 about Nerissa Tridawn is the magic attack. If you take a look at it in the battle; Nerissa Tridawn was the only monster with the highest magic attack. The magic attack of Nerissa Tridawn Contributed immensely in this battle.

Ice Pixel

Splinter: Water 💦💦💦
Level: 2⭐⭐
Speed: 3🚤🚤🚤
Health: 2❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹
Attack: Magic ✨
Mana: 2
After i selected the first three monsters that I considered most important in this battle, 💞😉 I was left with only 10 mana to fill in three positions: to make sure all the three positions are filled with magic monsters, Ice Pixel was the best option for me. I wasn't considering the health of Ice Pixel; all I was considering was the magic attack.

Doctor Blight

Splinter: Neutral
Level: 2⭐⭐
Speed: 1🚤
Health: 4❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹
Attack: Magic
Mana: 4
Without Back to Basics Rule, Doctor Blight would have poisoned or afflicted Baakjira in this battle. But the rule of the battle nullified the abilities of monsters. I know with the help of Alric Stormbringer, Doctor Blight would get 2 magic attacks.
My fear was that my opponent should not use a summoner that reduces the magic attack of the opponent's monsters. When I saw that he did not use it, I was very happy 😌😁.

Coral Wraith

Splinter: Water 💦💦💦
Level: 1⭐
Speed: 2🚤🚤
Health: 2❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹
Attack: Magic
Mana: 4
The magic attack of Coral Wraith was the major reason I used it. I love to use this 💩💀 monster in the last position because it has small health and speed.

In conclusion, at the first round of the battle my total attack was 18. Imagine 18 damages at round one. That was the reason Baskjira was eliminated in the first round. It is always difficult for me to eliminate baakjira, because of the void and healing abilities.
In the second round, the total attacks jumped to 20 due to enrage ability; It was very easy to destroy Djiin Oshannus. In round three, two opponent's monsters were eliminated.
In round 4, Deeplurker was not given a chance to attack; it was destroyed by the Kraken.
In the end of the battle, none of my 💩💀 monsters were eliminated.

This is the end of the battle. None of my monsters were eliminated.
