I was interesting to join this wonderful challenge initiated by our Friend @justinparke about Our Favorite Local Places. I would like to share my entry for this week's challenge with the theme: "My Favorite Local Place". Our place consists of many beautiful sceneries and this will our areas to become well known by others. Last day, I went to Lamesahan Shoreline located in Barangay Punta Silum Manticao, Misamis Oriental.

I felt quite more relaxing the time when I visited shorelines, I can see the far away places while thinking the futures with slightly worried and anxiety. Exploring in this kind of peaceful place can relax our mind and heart.

Lamesahan is kind of stony place which means, that the area was filled and consists of many big and small stones called, Pagang. This is a kind of stones and coral reef that died already. Many kinds of marine plants grows in this kind of stones and sometimes, there are Marine animals hiding in the corals. Sea shells are also found in this area and most of the people loves to find any sea shells just for their meals. This place was not yet developed and it still remains the Natural beauty of it.

Near at the shoreline was the newly opened beach resort and that resort already contains a floating cottage just like in the picture. This floating cottage can load up to 10 people and it is very fascinating and very unique kind of structure. In floats in the sea water and in order for not flashing away of the waves, the builders tied using a chain under in this cottage and attached in the concrete blocks under water. It will only spin around the place even if their is a big waves happens.

Most of the residents are fishermen and they already owned small boats used for fishing. They set their boats and sail to the sea every 5 PM and the fish they catched will sell to the Market and other fish will cooked for meals.

The term "Lamesahan" which means tables. This term was getting because of the stone formations just like tables. Children sometimes served this as a diving board place every high tides and others take more pictures of the stone formations. This was connected by an old concrete road that serves as a bay walk back in many years. But as the water keeps higher and increasing, the concrete was already submerge in the water and slowly vanished.

Every summer season, there are lots of people went here together with their families and or friends. I really love this place, it keeps me more peaceful and calm everytime I visited here.

That floating cottage looks like an interesting place to pass the time, but because it is owned by the resort it's likely not free or cheap 🤣🤣. Well, having such a beautiful shoreline near your home is already a wonderful place to visit. Thanks for sharing.
