A Simple Dish: Mushroom and Squash Stew

What I will share with you today is about cooking mushrooms. Every month from July to September, mushrooms really grow here in our area and they usually grow in cool places such as under the grass, trees, bamboos and in places that don't get exposed to the heat of the sun . According to others, it is very expensive in restaurants and other eateries because it is one of the so-called exotic foods.

This is what the Mushrooms that grow here in our area look like. We call it ligbus, a type of plant that only grows once, it's also very expensive per kilo in the markets or in SM and it's around 350 per kilo. It wilts easily and will wilt within an hour. It's really hard to find it because sometimes it's hidden under grass and other places.

Mushrooms are nutritious and are good for breastfeeding women. It also provides iron and zinc which is good for our body.

Today, I will share how to cook Adobong Kabute. Only a few ingredients to cook it as follows;

Ingredients:

📝 Chopped mushrooms
📝 Mantika (cooking oil)
📝 Onion
📝 Garlic
📝 Soy Sauce
📝 Salt and other tastes
📝 Clean water

First of all, the leaves and stems of the mushroom must be cleaned well because there are usually insects hidden in each leaf. It's good to look really closely so that the mushrooms to be cooked are really clean. Then, slice it and wash it with clean water and let it dry.

Heat oil and then add garlic and onion. Cook it well until it turns golden brown in color and its fragrant smell comes out.

Next, add the sliced ​​mushrooms and mix well. Just mix it slowly so it doesn't spill and spoil. Then, add a little water for the broth and cook for a few minutes until it softens.

When the cooked mushrooms are soft, add dry or soy sauce and mix well. Just cook it for a few minutes and then add spices such as salt and other spices and stir it well until cooked.

This is our recipe for tonight. I just wanted to add to my post that not all mushrooms are edible, there are also mushrooms that are only decorative and not edible.

Self-productivity is very important for all of us. It helps to achieve our success through effort by working properly. Even if we are at home, there are still jobs waiting like cooking for lunch, afternoon or maybe even breakfast. What I will share for today is what I did yesterday at home. Each member of our family here has their own obligations, this helps to facilitate our family's work. Mom ordered me to cook sauteed squash for lunch so I immediately did it to finish. I have a simple way to cook squash and I want to share it with you.

Pumpkin is one of the most delicious vegetables to eat. According to experts, it helps to make our vision clearer and helps to strengthen our body. I got this vegetable in our garden near the farm, and I'm happy because the pumpkins there bear a lot of fruit.

Here are the ingredients for cooking sauteed pumpkin;

  • Pumpkin
  • Garlic
  • Onion
  • Oil
  • Salt
  • Other spices

First, the pumpkin must be peeled before slicing, it can also be left unpeeled as long as it is washed well in clean water to remove the dirty germs attached to it.

Peel the garlic and onions and slice them finely so that they are easy to cook. Garlic and onion are one of the ingredients that add flavor to cooked dishes.

Put oil in a pan and heat it. Next put the garlic and onion, stir it well until its golden brown color comes out along with its fragrant smell.

Next put the squash, dry it and mix well. For those who like to make soup, you can also add water to make it a soup. When the squash is soft, add spices and mix well again to balance its flavor.

Native mushroom is too delicious, i still remember those days back when i was highschool, i used to pick native mushrooms. August and september are the months were this mushroom is abundant. A free viand.
