Kindness cost nothing

Today, I realized how much kindness could attract blessings from the mouth of people we most times never knew them.

So, today I attended a burial ceremony in another local government area away from my city and while I was drinking water, a man came to me and asked me for the water I was drinking, although I needed the water I had no option but to hand my water to him to use for whatever he needed to do with it but I was shocked to receive so many prayers from the mouth of the man all because of a sachet of water I gave you him.

Then and there, I realized how much people wish for kindness, they always feel no one is kind and are always surprised when someone shows them an act of kindness In little things that even the person doesn't seem to see as anything.

It takes nothing from us to be kind to people because it cost nothing. It takes nothing from our value or dignity to show a little kindness to people we come across irrespective of our challenges or what we are passing through.

The thing about kindness is that we rarely realize the impact it has on someone that truly needs it but we most times refuse to be kind with the excuse that "We were under pressure or stressed or perhaps we are busy which isn't a reason to show hostility because it is not our responsibility to absorb their pains. Being stressed, under pressure, or stressed out doesn't license incivility towards people because we aren't the only ones passing through life struggles.

An act of kindness cost nothing, but some people feel the world is so cruel. Even from a stranger, a little show of kindness can bring light into the darkest part of one's life.

So remember to show a little act of kindness regardless of who the person is. We all have kindness embedded in us, all we need to do is show it out to those who need it at every point.

It cost nothing to be kind to people because we all need such acts to be shown to us whether financially or physically touch. Nobody is too big to be shown kindness.
