ONE OF MY GREATEST MEMORIES IN UNIVERSITY

I was going through my laptop today and I saw all these pictures, I was so happy to see them, it was a memory I shared with my coursemates during my final year project.

As a finalist we were to make our final project without any supervision, we were divided into groups and we decided to carry out our project in one rural area in Kogi state the northern part of Nigeria.

Our first day on the field

This day we woke up and decided to find our way through GPS, our assignment was to know the geological history of the town and its environment, it was fun working with this set of people because I had a great time during this period.

I remember this particular picture, we had trekked more than miles and had no water to drink, we just saw this man and we begged if we could find any flowing river at least to quench our thirst, the man took us to this stream and it was like a prayer answered, we were so happy and fetch in our water bottle.

This memory means a lot to me because when I saw these pictures on my laptop it took me back to those memories I shared with all of them, the time we argued, the time we were lost, the time our GPS battery was down, the time we found ourselves among the Fulani and we had to explain what brought us to that area, the time we had nothing to eat and only fed on Mango, I can not explain everything but it was a fun time. We spent two months on the field for this project.

Since we graduated from university we hadn't seen each other and it was about five years now, the only thing we did was talk on WhatsApp and chat.

Like my mother says "Twenty children can never play for twenty years", everyone has found their square root and most of them are no longer in the country but we are all doing fine in our ways.

NOTE:- ALL THE PICTURES ARE MINE

That man who led them to the creek was definitely sent by God... I would worry a lot about venturing into the unknown and having my gps fail and running out of water 😵‍💫 but I'm glad everything went well for you and now you share these beautiful memories together. Thanks for participating in #tbt Thursdays my friend 🙏
