Ehon Reboot
Dear Community,
as the title suggests, today's post brings some new changes.
It has been quiet for a few weeks, we had to regulate a lot internally and have led several discussions because of inconsistencies in the planning / realization has arisen. In addition, there was a cut in the current team's constellation - @satren has left the team.
Here is his personal statement regarding his withdrawal:
Good news are easy to write, bad news are not. For this reason, I will be brief at this point. I will leave the EHON project for personal reasons. It has been an exciting challenge, but it was not meant to be. For this reason, I have decided to leave the project and to give up my role in it.
We apologize that due to this fact we will not be able to continue the project as planned and that we will not be able to complete it in the given time frame.
Ehon Reboot:
At the same time, we have formed a new team and are working with very capable minds to bring new life into the first Ehon prototype. This will affect your GenOne tokens, because bringing them to life in their first form ( 😉 ) is currently our main focus.
Also the voting tool needs a far-reaching revision, we will take care of this after the first update of the GenOne similar to the revision of the website.
Of course we will inform you about the progress. To make sure that the information reaches you, we will tag all holders in corresponding posts.
For now, here is a statement of our new Main-Dev, who wants to remain anonymous at the moment:

I am the new developer for EHON.
My predecessor has not left me much to build upon.
This also leaves me with pretty much free choice in the technologies EHON will be using.
In the last weeks I have been working with @quekery and @schlees to get myself up to speed.
Once I knew the full scope of this project, I had to cut some features.
EHON has a lot of good ideas, but I can not finish all of them at once.
I will be using a different tech-stack, which should allow quick development of an alpha version.
Since I am using very basic technologies, the first versions might look less polished than what has been announced, but we will be able to work out these things later on.
This first version will have limited features, but a managable size.
I will not set myself deadlines or announce anything I haven't built yet.
What I can say: We have made good progress over the last days.
I am confident, that we can deliver EHON alpha soon.
I am excited to work with the EHON team."

I am very sad to hear that about @satren . I instantly chose to support the project, when I have read that satren, schlees and quekery are responsible for this project. I am totally new and how shall I know what project I can rely on? Well, when there are 3 people that have been on this blockchain (or Steem) for years and got a nice reputation, it makes a decision easier...
Now one of you is gone from the project and I really hope it all went down in a good way. TBH my high expectations sunk after reading this new info.

This is a bit disheartening to say the least. You had two token sales/ releases that people already bought into. You left us in the dark for over three weeks. We should have been told immediately that there was a problem.
Now there's an anonymous main developer. This is completely disrespectful to the people who already bought your tokens.
On Hive most folks are semi-anonymous but I would not have gotten involved in this is if the main dev was anonymous from the beginning.
So many projects die because of this kind of thing. It's not just the news but the fact that you kept it from us with zero communication for weeks that's the problem. Then you don't even have enough respect for your paying customers (and potential customers) to share at least a screen name of the main developer. This is so sketchy. How are people supposed to trust you with their crypto? I certainly don't anymore.
I hope all goes well but instead of disrespectful I feel they might be finding new developer.
Unfortunately "anonymous developer" do not bring confidence but again I hope all goes well.
Hope the following results will change your opinion on our new core dev. 🙂

If you have a problem that you work on every day and things change, sometimes very massively, then it is unfortunately pretty difficult to communicate this in a clean/clear way. Before anything is communicated you have to think about the events yourself for a while, then in the team, this unfortunately takes some time.
You may check the comments on this post. We simply needed some time to figure out how to go on.
We are sorry that it went like this, we would have preferred it to go according our former plan as well, but as said in the post - a first version (GenOne okens) is on it´s way.

Persönliche Gründe können bei Jedem von uns dazwischen kommen, immerhin scheint es nicht aus gesundheitlichen Gründen zu sein! Ich hoffe, @satren kann sich trotzdem noch um seine restlichen 200 Imperialen Soldaten kümmern ^^ Alles Gute auf jeden Fall von meiner Seite und ein Willkommen an den neuen Entwickler. Wenn ich ehrlich bin, habe ich sowieso noch nicht zu 100% verstanden, wie genau das Gameplay aussehen wird, also würde ich es eh nicht merken, wenn bei der Alpha dann etwas fehlen wird 😅

This instance is how projects die. If you cannot communicate well with your community, it will die.
Really sad to see this. After waiting for three weeks I was expecting something good. Hope it goes well in the future.
We would have loved to deliver good news in this post, but unfortunately things went down a little different...
Give us some time, things are settled now and we are daily working on a first version.

Even if you don't reach deadlines it is good practice to set something to aim for.
Obviously we don't know the reason why the guy left the team but it isn't a great sign. I hope that the project comes to life but if it doesn't I understand that too, loads of things don't work as planned

I set up a schedule that is not feasible at this time, overestimated my abilities, and screwed it up in the end. You can't sugarcoat it, I almost drove the project to the wall, and the new developer can do something. The project is in good hands.
