Male Blackbird

(Edited)

As far as I know, this is a male red winged black bird. (I am pretty sure that @melinda010100 would know for sure though!) I posted some pics of the female red winged black bird a couple of days ago, and really they look nothing alike. Incredible. I learned something new. Speaking of learning, it is a pretty good practise to try and learn something new everyday. Keeps the mind sharp. Continual learning is the ticket. Have you learned anything new and exciting recently? Do tell me about it in the comment section below.

Paul McCartney (with a little help from J.S. Bach) used the blackbird to express his views on segregation. Now this little blackbird is proudly posing with the few patches of colour that nature has given it. And then you come around the corner and "rob" it of its little splash of colour 😉😎.

The male black bird with red stripes looks so different. Where ever it goes it can be easily identified I believe. Looking nice sitting on the branch with few green leaves.

Yes, after finding this one, I seem to notice them a lot more now.

Beautiful, just like the previous ones! Black birds, in my experience, are the hardest to photograph. Especially in the thicket. Really beautiful photographs!

A beautiful bird sitting on that twig,,, but I would have thought it to be orange-winged... 😁
Either ways, it's very cute.

Good shot again. Seems you've been taking a lot of bird pictures lately. Once again, the depth of the field, the details, the bokeh is clean.

I spent an afternoon last week by the pond, and got a lot more to show soon. Thanks.

Nice shots my friend, I still have yet to ever post a Red Winged Black bird to this date and I have many shots but I am still trying to get the epic in flight shot and I suppose that's why I haven't posted yet. I think its healthy to learn something every day, no matter what it is, just learn at least one thing. Have a great week ahead.

We have a lot of Red Winged Black birds. It is intriguing that even in the animal kingdom the males have to always put on a display and it is often invokes immediate visual attention. Then they have tried to spin this narrative that human females aren't as visual as males which is total BS.

So what did you learn today? 🧐 lol

That the bees in Puerto Rico are Africanized, however due to isolation they lost the genes for over aggression and act more like European bees but produce larger amounts of honey like the African species. I thought it was interesting!
