Everyone has a role to play in a society, so was the case of Mirabella the shortest lady among many tall ladies and gentlemen.
Her inability to grow tall was due to her mother's limitations to good sources of food and child support when she was given birth to.
At age 2, she loss her mother and was handed over to the orphanage to see that everything was provided for her because, she proved to be more intelligent than every of her age mates.
The orphanage welcomed her with their whole heart, made provisions of whatever that was available for her, just to make sure that she does not feel alone.
While Mirabella was in the orphanage, she made great impact in the lives of those who she could relate with, even though her malnourishment was very obvious on her looks.
As she continued to grow in good health filled with happiness, refused to be brainwashed that her parents died long time ago. She believed in herself and inspired other short individuals in the orphanage to be proud of who God has made them to be.
She kept on encouraging other minors to find something tangible to do with their lives even as orphans.
She grew to her teenage age with pride, graduated from the secondary school and a send-forth ceremony was organized for her as one of the most influential orphans in the home.
She was admitted to study Mechanical Engineering in the States tertiary instruction and made it in flying colours.
As mother nature had planned her ways to be very smooth and perfect, she got a job in the ministry of works and was made an assistant to the Director general of Star city. This popped her shoulders up like the popcorns and made her more known as the short lady with tall brains.
A time came when there was a need for engineers to save the Star city from natural disasters. She was beaconed on by the entire ministry who begged her to come up with a permanent solution to the flooding which has swept away villages.
The Director general called her before the public, vested all his powers on her as she appeared to be the only one with the right thoughts and plan.
She rose up, mounted the podium and made the hopeful statement;
"We shall see flood-free Star city soon".
The little mighty words combined in her short sentence geared up the minds of engineers to work under her rulership so as to prevent the unbearable from happening.
As she was done with her speech, the president called on her before the big boys and girls of the country, pointing his long fingers on the youngster saying;
"This is the small but mighty minister that will save our lands from flooding. She shall save us with her wisdom. I urge every engineer working under her to respect and honor her without minding her appearance."
The words of the president ignited Mirabella's ability to think faster and deeper on ways to carryout her plans. She worked everyday, all day to get to the bottom line of every single brick formerly used in the construction of all the failed projects. Luckily for her, the solutions came faster than she imagined.
She initiated her plan, worked towards its actualization and it came to pass.
Heavy rain came and her pumps diverted the flood straight to the ocean with no casualty.
As her project was confirmed as the only project to be built for the prevention of flood in the state, her sickle cell trait swept her away from the living to the dead. What a loss.
When the rainy season was over, the entire city mourned her death, and decided to mount a huge statue at the center of Star city to commemorate her contribution.

This is a sad story. Pride is a good thing here. It helps to motivate Mirabella. Pride in her work drives her to engineer projects that will benefit her city and save lives. A good character description.

Thank you for sharing this with us and for engaging with other authors.

Though it's a sad Story, but her name and who she was won't be forgotten for a very long time

Mirabella was lucky that she found loving people even after she lost her parents. It's good she didn't allow her successes to overshadow her sense of reasoning. It seems in this case, pride in herself and what she could achieve helped her reach the peak

Yeah, her pride earned her some great values, even as an orphan. Thanks for stopping by
