There'll be a new concert stage for music entertainment in Yokohama. Named "K-Arena Yokohama" on 6-2-14 Minato Mirai, Nishi Ward, Yokohama City. You can already find it on Google Maps: https://maps.app.goo.gl/PgXx6ETYkAAuPApZ6. To access this place, there are 3 stations near it which are Yokohama Station, Shin-Takashima Station, and Minatomirai Station.

Tamura Tsuyoshi (President, Management Company) says to NHK World Japan: "We built this site in the hope of transforming Yokohama into a major entertainment district. The arena is equipped with a state-of-the-art system that creates the ultimate in sound. I really want people to experience how good the sound quality is."

Japanese music duo Yuzu will christen the site with a series of performances over the first three days. There is also a live broadcast for this performance. Yuzu is a Japanese pop-rock duo consisting of Yūjin Kitagawa (北川悠仁) and Kōji Iwasawa (岩沢厚治). They are active until now and their works are known to Otaku fans too.

For some of you who didn't get a concert ticket for this beautiful day, you don't need to worry. The exclusive live broadcast of "YUZU SPECIAL LIVE 2023 HIBIKI in K-Arena Yokohama BEAUTIFUL × FUTARI & ALL STARS" has been decided on CS channel "Nippon TV Plus Drama/Anime/Music Live"!

It'll be another big venue for music lovers to watch their artists and idols on the stage. K-Arena Yokohama can accommodate approximately 20,000 people with the motto "It's all about enjoying music." What I like about this venue is "LoveLive! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club 6th Live" which will be held at K-Arena on January 13th, 2024. It'll be an exciting one for me as LoveLive! Fans. I like u's (The first group of LoveLive!) and this Nijigasaki group. I hope I can come to join this live concert. I missed u's concert as I was still a teenager back then. Now, I can try to fulfill my small dream of watching the concert live there with the Nijigasaki Group on stage.

I watched a lot of live performances, but after the pandemic, I don't go to concerts as much as I used to, the last time I watched the U2 concert.

Bruce Springsteen at the Melbourne Show ground in Australia was my first ever live music concert. 100,000 people plus just in a big open area like a cricket oval. From memory he did more than 10 nights in a row.

Yes I did attend a concert in person. It is a Taiwanese band named Ukelele. Nice tunes where the crowd sing together.

Ukulele (traditional Chinese: 優客李林; simplified Chinese: 优客李林; pinyin: Yōukè Lǐlín) was a Taiwanese pop duet that formed in 1991 and disbanded in 1996.

That's very long ago... 10 years after disbanding, they said farewell in their first and only concert in 2006, "See You, Ukulele" 😭.
I'll hear their music later~

Cher and Elton John I see... It's good news that Elton John is already in good health after he was hospitalized. Elton John was referred to as a "Legendary Singer 76 years old." and Cher as a "Goddess of Pop 77 years old" in the media. Interesting... They are surely already old. Elton's final UK show is on Glastonbury 2023 (Sunday, June 25th, 2023). Meanwhile, Cher who's older than him still active and just released her first holiday album 🤔. I hope she's still well like my grandmother who's older than her but still active too. 👍

My concert days are long past. But back in the day... I went to many.

One of note was Bryan Adams at the Lakeland Civic Center in Lakeland, FL. I note this performance because the music video for the song "Hearts on Fire" was filmed at that concert. He played the song 4 times in a row while footage was filmed. So, one of those many unidentifiable people is the crowd could be me.

June of '87... is that when it was? Summer of my freshman year in college. I'm just about as old as the hills.

Yeah, it was quite a while ago. And as for "many," I don't know how (or maybe why) anyone goes at all any more. The U2 tickets in the sphere in Las Vegas are 1K a pop!!! I used to comfortably take a date to a concert, including dinner. It was something I did eight or nine times a year through high school. It cost more than a movie but not so outrageously so that a high-school kid with a part-time job couldn't swing a concert date now and then if they didn't blow all their money as soon as they got it.

That has changed, big time!
