Hey friends,

Galen's thrown a curve ball (as he has a tendency to do) with his Weekend Engagement post for this week. Here are the questions I'm going to answer in this post:

What is your best physical feature and why?

And what are your best two personality traits?

Firstly, let's talk about how beautiful I am. 😂

I jest, sort of. Though these days I'm pretty in awe of how amazing I am as a human being. After so many years of thinking awful things about myself, it's nice to be able to easily think and genuinely say super kind things about myself regularly.

The part of my body that was most often complimented (before I met Brad who regularly tells me that so many parts of my body are amazing!) are my eyes. And while there are now many parts of my body that I think are pretty fabulous (hi, ever-beating heart! hello, fabulous brain!) I think my favourite physical feature is probably still my eyes.

They're kind of blue, kind of green and occasionally kind of grey. I think it depends on what mood I'm in, how well I am and perhaps look different depending on what I'm wearing. I seem drawn to teal as a colour because it seems to make my eyes kind of shine.

This is a zoomed-in photo of a selfie I took a few weeks back when I was just about to head out for a run. It's probably the best shot I can give you of really seeing my eyes using the photos I have on my phone.

Now, enough about how beautiful I am 😁 let me answer part two of Galen's question: my two best personality traits.

So, I probably can't tell you that I'm modest now, can I? 😅

But really, to answer this entire question requires a modicum of indulgent self-love, does it not?

Though, how to choose? I have so many fabulous personality traits. 🤣 (Cracking myself up here. Hope you're laughing along too. 😜)

What do you like about your personality?

I like that I'm very, very genuine. I really care about being really real. Yes, I like that about myself.

I haven't always felt safe to be really real and I definitely feel safer being more real with certain people and in certain spaces than in others. But it's something I strive towards: being as real as possible. And I think, mostly, I do pretty well at this.

Additionally, I think this is a good behaviour to role model to others so I'm proud of this.

Okay, Caroline. That wasn't so hard. One more. What else do you like about your personality?

I'm very willing to get uncomfortable, to learn new things and try new things. You could say these are all unique traits but to me they're all wrapped up in one.

I guess you could call this a growth mindset; I'm willing to grow as a human being and that requires trying new things and getting uncomfortable because new things = unknown = uncomfortable.

So, that's it! I made it! Wooooooo. Now it's your turn if you're game. 😉

I love genuine people because they´d come out straight and say the truth instead of hiding.. Your eyes look amazing and I like them too.
Then for the other personality, it´s so great. The growth mindset is important in our lives and not everyone would want this as they are always comfortable where they are.

Agreed. I find it hard to hang out with people who don't have a growth mindset. All my friends and all my clients have a growth mindset, and thankfully, so does my partner.

Self-love is something people really need to realize is very important. Those who do not have self love get dominated by abusive selfish people and evil people.

When I saw your photo I could see and confirm that you have beautiful eyes, the color is spectacular 😍. What I like about the eyes is that they don't lie! They are very sincere! They show what they feel at that moment, I love mine too 👀💜.

One of my best personality trait would be that i am very sensitive, in a world full of so many insensitive people its always hard to be sensitive. I try to understand peoples emotions before saying or doing anything, it really hurts me when i see people talk to people anyhow without considering their emotions, how can you insult someone under the disguise that you were cracking a joke.

My sensitivity can sometimes put me in trouble because i might end up reading emotions that are not present😂 but in other words i am glad that i can consider people's feelings. I hate seeing people sad and i get easily affected by people's problems.

Why thank you! That's very kind of you. I don't think of myself as being very creative so this is great for me to read. 🙂

Ah, yes. I understand. While I'm also sensitive it sounds like you're even more sensitive by the look of it. But, like you, I also really dislike it when people make jokes at other people's expense. How is that showing that you love the person???

I think the terms tokens and tips are used interchangeably

For what its worth I call them ALL Tokens, but I guess as long as you're getting more 'stuff' then the name is personal choice :-)

Well,
People have complimented my smile a lot. But my favorite part of my body (recently) are my eyes. I like what I see in them when I look in the mirror. There is life with passion. There is fire with kindness. I love how expressive my eyes get. They are a dark shade of brown (coffee brown) and they glimmer every time.

One trait I like about myself has to be my ability to adapt and flow with whatever situation. I also love my hunger for new things. I love the tests and challenges that seem to flow my way because they make me grow as a person.

Until recently, there was nothing I like about me but now, I love me. And who I am becoming.

P.S, I love your eyes! I can actually loose myself in them. They give me the picture of the Sun rising over the ocean.
