Easter Cross at Saron Lutheran
Saron Lutheran Church in Hoquiam, Wash., still had its Easter cross set up in their courtyard this week. I noticed the cross while on a late afternoon walk to the Grays Harbor bay, and had to stop for a few photos.
According to the church website, initial construction of the church building was completed in 1929. I love the architecural style of the church, which I would characterize as Spanish southwestern, if that's even a thing. One of the features I like is the stucco on the walls, and it shows up decently in these photos.
I often stop to photograph the church on my way to or from the bay, but I'm usually focused on the church steeple. The last photo in this series was taken on one of my earlier outings, in November or December of last year. The courtyard is on the left, hidden behind the trees.

Indeed, that is a beautiful church building, and I like the flower-bedecked cross. It seems symbolic of life after death.
