Inner peace

Happiness has so many school of thoughts. It is and will always be a widely debated topic amongst scholars. Some say it's all about money, some say it's about the success we've achieved over time; some say it a destination and some, a journey.

For me, happiness is a destination and an end point achieved when we've come to that level of understanding of what life actually is... understanding that in our ephemeral stay on Earth, there'll always be ups and downs; highs and lows. A man who hasn't come to this river of understanding will always be found wandering in the shallows of confusion, dissatisfaction, and sadness when things don't go as expected.

Once we've come to accept this basic fact about life, we tend to see things from an optimistic point of view, our mindset changes and we find ourselves seeing opportunities in every failure - all these happens once we've earned experience in our journey through Earth and have got to that final bus stop, that destination, where we decide to view life from it's true perspective and not fall prey to its temptations which may spring forth regret, and tamper with our state of mind.

Once we listen to the voices that whisper to us: voices that reminds us of our failures, voices that blames us for every mistake we make; we might end up in depression, thereby thwarting our peace of mind.

A man who lacks peace of mind is an unhappy man!

During our journey in life, We need to get to that point where we find contempt within ourselves.

Contempt can only be found once we've accepted the reality of life, once we've understood and we're ready to face the fact that bad things must happen! And not just that, we must have the mindset that no matter what, we'll scale through it alive— one who's made this resolution, is one who's settled with his inner man... one who's found peace of mind.

Having this mindset only comes through our experiences in life's journey. Our journey through life grooms us for the bigger picture ahead, it grooms us to arrive at a certain destination where our peaceful mind embraces happiness.

True understanding of life only comes through experience, it's not something you find in a book or in a movie, it can only be gotten through our journey in life.

If you're happy this minute, then sad the next, I'm sorry to say... but you've not found happiness. Happiness is a final bus stop, it's a destination. We can't arrive at that destination with a broken heart or a troubled mind but rather with a peaceful mind filled with understanding of life.

Once we're able to understand life, nothing can mess with our emotions, why? This is because we anticipated it and aren't moved by the waves of life anymore. It's all because we arrived at that final bus stop (our destination) with a state of mind that has been strengthened during our journey in life...

Something I'll describe as "inner peace."

Having a true understanding about life and what we must do on a daily basis defines happiness and I agree with you, because a man who knows there must be ups and downs will not find any reason to worry himself.

Exactly, and people with peace of mind usually have this basic understanding.

Greetings!

Yeah I also agree a person who has come to understand life won’t really have his emotions messed up. For those people it’s almost like there’s nothing you can show them again
They have just chosen to accept that life has ups and down and are now happy where they are and that’s it.
