My first dating experience was beautiful, it was not focused on material things, I guess that is when love was still love, yahoo guys have not entered the picture and most girls are truly in love and didn't see dating as a source of income and job opportunity...
It was a forbidden love due to the circumstance of where we met.....She was my boss daughter, I was a teacher in the school and she was a student but I was not teaching her, as she was in ss3 while I was taking the Jss student...
This was not a love-at-first-sight thing because our first encounter was war, as a new teacher, I entered the Jss 3 class to get to know the students, they were 13 in number...
During the introduction, I realized one of the students put her head on the table and was not interested in what we were doing, I ignored that until it got to her turn to introduce herself but she didn't budge, the students were like she is not part of them and she is their senior, that excuse still didn't make me ignore her rudeness...
I knew she was not sleeping because it was when I entered the class she put her head on the table, so I called unto her and also threaten to flog her if she didn't put her head up, I guess she feared being flogged so she raised up her head, I told her to stand up which she did and ask for her name which she told me reluctantly, and she left the class after that...
I thought it was over but that was just the beginning because she detest me for what I did, she was not my student so there is nothing much I can do, she told her classmate not to have anything to do with me but being a lovable and friendly guy, that her plan didn't work and at the end, she also had to let go of her grudges and we became buddies ...
She became closer to me than others, I had nothing in mind but I also love the friendship between us, it was during the last day of the term that she came to meet me and ask for my number which I gave her and that was the beginning of what i will term more than friendship...
That same day she called my number in the afternoon and we talked, we were both using a small torchlight phone but thanks to Etisalat text 1 message and get 1 free text ... We used to text each other a lot till late in the night and often she will sleep off during the chat but apologize in the morning, i later get used to that because whenever she takes longer than 5 minutes to reply, i know she was gone...
Being my first relationship, I didn't ask her out during all those love conversations and when she realized I was not going to make any move, she made it easier for me by giving me greenlight, she started with there is a guy she loves and I ask her who, the description she gave fit me perfectly and i also let her know there is a girl I am in love with and also gave her description...
She hope the guy would ask her out and I told her not to worry, he will, we fixed a day which was on Friday, I went to school early that day and when i asked her out, she left me, I was confused as to what is going on but barely 2 minutes after she left, she texted me and said she was shy and said yes!
I told her to come back which she did and that was how we made our relationship official...
Prior to this time, the teachers and her classmate actually think we were already dating so we didn't need to inform anyone again lol...
It was a beautiful experience, no pressure, no asking for money, the first time i gave her 200 naira, she was so happy and gave me a hug... i dare not try that with girls nowadays, she will just hiss😂...

yes, it was good old times when everything is not about money, the 200 naira was not really a huge amount then, but it was enough for either my morning or lunch meal....

you are right, I had an experience like that with an ungrateful girl, she want me to be totally deep in the relationship but she is not putting even 5 percent of her energy, always demanding what her parent can't afford, after we went our separate way, I have been very careful in relationships, i stop ignoring red flags and the way i see it, to get married will be hard for me, I have trust issues with em ladies now. It is really not easy for us guys now
I could help but laugh at your kind of proposal. I think everybody had that at some point in this life. I had a girl describe me to myself, telling me how much she liked this "guy" and that he would eventually go to the university and she feared that "the guy" would foget about her. I assured her that the guy would not do that, and that's how one of my relationships started.
I think first relationships are usually good memeries, regardless of how they may have ended. At least, the love is usually pure and real.
yea, I love how the first relationship feelings were mutual and the heart was truly involved, all the midnight calls, and burning credit to talk to your love was worth it, nothing, like buy me wigs, buy me clothes, it is more of text and calls, real love, if only we can go back to that time, I really missed it
