Freedom of speech doesn't guarantee freedom after speech
Right to work : In a country where your certificate does not guarantee a good-paying job, you either settle for a meager salary or remain jobless, it is more about having family or friends in a higher position that can secure a job for you.
Right to Liberty: Are we free in this country? we live in fear every day for our lives, fear of not starving to death, fear of being harmed, many people do not travel by road to far distance and it is not because of the stress cos some people love adventures but it is due to the fear of being harmed by robbers or other evil people that can stop the bus on the road, so many people prefer traveling by Air as it is the safest
I would actually love to explore, visit other states, and know about the other tribes we have in my country but the fear of going and not returning has always been on my mind, what if something happened, I heard a case of a lady who was stoned to death because she said something about a prophet in a state where religious fanatics resides, she died in vain because those who killed her were not sentenced or put to justice, we never know what we will do or say that will put us in danger.
This is why I find the hive learners prompt funny, we are asked to choose between freedom of speech or the right to privacy
Freedom of speech is the right of being able to say what we like and to express our mind/opinion regardless of who it is, and the right to speak against the government and other influential people in power.
The problem here is that, is my safety guaranteed after I express myself? One thing is being free to say whatever we like but are we going to survive the next day after trampling on those in power? they will surely come for the person openly or in a crook way so no point in expressing my thoughts if I would have to live in fear after.
I would keep my thoughts to myself as they won't change anything, If I come out to protest against our president for the hardship we are facing, nothing is going to change, the poor and weak voice isn't heard but when a rich or powerful person cough, the whole world will hear.
To my best understanding, Right to Privacy means the right to our own private life like choosing who to be in a relationship with, a same-sex relationship without the law or government intruding, the right to dress the way you like, the right to your gender, If I choose this, I am safe from the government/law but Am I safe from other people's wrath?
We have people that put judgment in their own hands, I might be safe in my area for practicing such an act but what If I need to visit another place and I don't know the people there have hatred for same-sex relationships, One would have been lynched before he knows the situation he is in.
To cut it short, I don't believe in any of those 2 rights, I believe in the right to keep yourself safe by staying away from things that may put you in danger.

Well, the freedom of speech is a double edge sword. The powerfuls are the ones to get benefited all the times.

Yeah, no privacy but some people would never know until they find themselves in a situation that enlightens them.
People sign up to social media spaces, never read the small print as to how much 'privacy' is sold off, even when not declared it is done. Data companies also sell numbers to online sales houses making money off your information.
Your thoughts are valid because you have valid reasons. All these right things just feel like words for decoration, so it looks as if we don't have anything like that.
It is high time everyone understood that it is not up to the government to keep them safe or provide anything for them. The least we can do, based on your point, is try our best to keep ourselves safe.
