Plastic Perils: Navigating the Modern Dilemma of Convenience vs. Sustainability

Earlier people used to live in villages and lead a very normal life, but now people's thinking has changed a lot, everyone wants to live in cities, want to take advantage of good amenities and facilities and many more, but in such a situation, we We are doing huge harm by staying away from nature. Earlier people lived very close to nature and perhaps that is why they remained so healthy and also had a long life. Their food was also very normal and everything was natural, now most of us prefer food made with adulterated chemicals rather than homemade food. Nowadays, we want everything quickly and in this process, we are also misusing many things very fast.

Nowadays we must have seen around us how the prevalence of packaged food is increasing. We can see around us how everything comes in plastic packaging and people use it in huge quantities. If you have noticed, you must have seen how much garbage is collected around you every day and among them, Most of it is made up of plastic. Many people throw this garbage in the drains or the rivers or in the forests and keep walking with it and the lotus thing is that this plastic remains there for years even though it is not possible to read some of the plastic wrappers. However, most of its parts remain intact, so you can see that it is very difficult to destroy this natural form. And as people have started moving around, more of them throw garbage anywhere, either in moving vehicles or in places where they go camping. Very few people will be found who can submit the garbage in the dustbin somewhere but still that garbage is spreading. Many people are very aware of this thing and they use less equipment made of plastic.

Many companies have also started selling their products in cardboard packaging by removing plastic packaging. You must have noticed that some juice packets come in similar tetra packs. Yes, things can be kept in plastic for a long time, but it also has a lot of disadvantages. Many people understand this and are trying to use it less, but still, most people use it unknowingly. Using in large quantities. This is a very serious problem, yes or it is also a blessing. It would have been a very good invention when it would have worked in its time because it helps a lot and it also provides a lot of convenience for many things. I try to reduce the consumption of such things. I don't even eat chips. Whenever I feel like it, I eat them once a week or once a month, but I always try to have a big packet instead of a small packet. I take the packet because it means that I am using plastic, but by buying it together, I won't be using as many packets as I would if I bought a larger packet.

And whenever I go to buy goods from the market, I carry a cloth bag from home, which, firstly, makes it convenient to bring the goods and secondly, I also avoid the use of plastic bags. Yes, slowly and gradually companies are reducing plastic but it becomes very difficult not to use it at all until some new type of product comes. Yes, some plastics spread competition. Many companies use it. But many are still using the same old plastic. It is not that we cannot do anything about it, of course we can. If you stop taking plastic packaging materials then perhaps it will make a lot of difference but it is very difficult to do because if you go from morning milk to evening tea. If you look at any product, even tea, plastic is used in everything. Yes, many people use these packets for many good things too, like using them for making pots, using them for planting small plants. They are quite useful.

But throwing it here and there unnecessarily is not a good thing. I would say that you should use these things as little as possible and give the same advice to others. It is not that we cannot avoid it, there are many solutions for this also. If you want to buy a packet of milk, then instead of this you should find a milkman and get milk from him and get the milk from there so that you will get one or two packets of milk every day. Avoid buying two milk packets that are made of plastic. And by making changes in such small things, you can bring a big change around you. It is not that you are the only one who thinks about it. Many big companies and many people think a lot about this and are also doing it. Recently I saw a video in which there was a group of 20 people who were going from place to place to clean the rivers and drains and you would be surprised to know that most of what was dumped in them was plastic which had filled the entire rivers and drains. If you see someone throwing garbage here and there, then try to stop them, yes, if you stop them a couple of times, maybe they will not agree, but if you tell them this again and again, then maybe the next time you go with him, they will do it himself. I will avoid throwing such things here and there.

Nowadays, many recycling plants are being set up by the government and they are helpful to a great extent because from those recycling plants, plastic, and other plastic products are recycled and some other items are made from them which can be used elsewhere. Yes, plastic cannot be destroyed but it can be reused. There are many ways to do the same, you can search them online because I do not know much about this subject nor am I an expert.
