My very real but fictional journeys - Living on the edge - Overcome fear and climb a sequoia.

One fine morning I suddenly decided to abandon the rarik pen which I sometimes drew and pick up a pencil with a graphite rod with which I last drew about thirty-five years ago.

Moreover I decided to draw a huge sequoia tree as a first-person view of a person who is standing at a small distance from it.

To him or to me several perspectives should have opened up at once a perspective of a towering tree a perspective of branches a perspective of a tunnel in a tree trunk and a horizon perspective on which other sequoias can be seen.

At that moment I remembered the saying which my friend @dmilliz told me the higher the monkey climbs on the palm tree the better you can see his ass, lol.

Yes it looked like it.

This work was supposed to reveal all my weak points everything that I could not draw and at that time I had never painted a wood texture and everything that you see in this picture.

There were moments when I felt like a cat that climbed a tree and was afraid to get off it and yelled at the top of its voice to be removed from the tree but continued to climb up.

Today looking at this drawing it’s funny for me to remember this and I see what can be changed where I made mistakes and how in this case to get rid of the monkey complex which is afraid that someone will see it from below, lol.
