Mindfulness: The Peace From Within.

I am fond of using the term, Work-alcoholic when it comes to giving details about myself because I love working. I believe that as long as I live, there's a need to do something that I can do and get work drunk. Lol. And with each workload done, comes in Mr. Stress on the body.

Stress is something everyone can relate to because it is part of our daily lives, especially when you can't stay a day without cooking, doing laundry, sweeping, doing online jobs, and whatnot. Doing all these is an easy way of drafting and sending a letter directly to the stress office, which is always accepted with pains to the body and mind.

Allowing stress without doing anything to curb it can bring in fatigue and insomnia and even lead to depression which is why I don't joke with rest time in-between work. I always make it a necessity to be carried out no matter how work drunk I plan to be in order to make something out of life. And taking rest has always had a way to help me with stress.

However, there are times stress can get to one's head. I have had it happen to me, especially on days I travel or go on a long journey. At the end of it all, I have always found myself too tired to do basic things like eating or sleeping. Tossing around like a rolling pin on a pile of dough, I become super restless to even do anything. At this time, taking drugs has always been a way out for some people, but to me, I am not a fan of taking drugs. The truth is that I detest taking drugs and would rather feel the pain than take a pain relief pill.

But, when the stress sets in, there are times I wish I had a pain relief pill at home. However, things took a different edge when I found the mindfulness app option on my health app. The first day I tried using one of the meditation options there, I felt like I was in heaven. I just returned from a trip and had been feeling pains on my body for 2 days, and with the painful body, I still went on to do household chores and also, online work.

Doing this added more stress to my body and made me super restless. With the constant pain, I had made up my mind to go for spa treatment, which I knew cost a lot, but I knew my health came first. But after listening to a meditation method on Mindfulness, I found peace. I felt the stress leaving my body as if it were poison. Just one session that didn't take up to 5 mins made me feel whole again. It felt like magic, and I could remember telling my friend about it. I felt anew and could reason well. It was a peace from within.

There are a lot of options that can be chosen from and even music to go. I felt beautiful and fulfilled after doing this without any fee. A way to go on my continuous practice of minimalism, which makes me proud. I formed this habit, which has made me stress free all day. Also, listening to different sessions has been educational and very informative, which is why I don't joke with each session. It is like listening to a live podcast, and the most interesting thing about it is that you are part of the live performance. Breathing in and out, stretching your limbs, closing your eyes, and listening to things around you.

The more I do this, the more I become more aware of my surroundings, which is nature filled. The chirping of birds and the slight change in the atmosphere. This has made me see my surroundings as a peaceful place to be in and aid in taking care of stress.

Music and watching movies are other ways to alleviate stress from the body, especially movies on Nickelodeon. Yeah, I am a huge fan of those laughing hard movies as they make me happy, and I believe the moment happiness sets in comes peace, which helps with stress.

Thanks for reading.

Peace be unto those who crave it and more to those who chase it away.

Stress is one of the reasons why I don't travel except it is very important, there is no way I can escape it and affects me a lot. I mentioned in my post that everyone has to find what works for them when it comes to breaking the wings of stress and it's awesome you know that you found yours...
