Top 10 coins to decorate my Portfolio in 2023

We are at the end of the year and approaching a new year. 2023 is expected to bring lots of opportunities to the crypto folks. At least that is what we all believe. Things have been very slow in this crypto winter. People are silently doing their investments and hopefully, they would be ready for the bull run to book their profits. Today I was checking my portfolio and was wondering what I should be focusing on for the upcoming year.

I might have more than 5 coins in my portfolio and most of them inside the Hive Ecosystem but I specifically wanted to talk about the top 5 coins I would be targeting in 2023. Diversifying the portfolio is very important. Right now most of my crypto assets are inside Hive and Hive ecosystem but in the year 2023, I would like to diversify my portfolio and focus on other blockchains as well. Let's see what my plans are.

1. HIVE

When it comes to holding crypto, HIVE would be my first and best choice. The main reason is that most of my activities are inside Hive Blockchain and I have been building my portfolio inside Hive Blockchain. Not only in the form of Hive but I do have assets inside the Hive ecosystem as other cryptocurrencies. For the Hive power I have been holding, I'm able to get an APR of 10% and in addition to that I'm also able to support other authors and support projects that are emerging on Hive.

2. HBD

I don't think there is any other decentralized platform that gives a solid 20% APR for our stable coin holdings. I have observed the price of HBD in the last few bear markets and the price is pretty much stable. I guess that is enough for us to gain trust in HBD. Maybe this might need more exchange listing to get enough liquidity but as of now, I'm pleased with how HBD looks and it is a great opportunity to get a stable 20% APR income.

3. DOT

After the launch of Parachain, the price of DOT pumped to over 60$ per coin. I did purchase some when the price was around 30 and 40 dollars. Now the price is a little disappointing and holding at 5$. I hope the bull market will heal the price back and I would be happy to partially exit when the price hits 40 dollars again. As of now, I'm stuck with some DOT I purchased long back and have been holding that.

4. BTC

Who would not be interested to invest in BTC? This is the mother of all coins and there will always be a demand for BTC in the crypto world many people would still value this high because of the limited supply. I currently don't have any BTC in my portfolio but would like to purchase some BTC in the coming year.

5. ETH

After BTC, ETH is the most popular coin. The good thing about ETH is that many people have been building their projects on ETH. I'm not sure how ETH 2.0 is performing but when I remembered it last time the gas fees made me stay away from ETH. I would be interested to have some ETH in my portfolio at least in 2023.

6. BNB

I got a few payments in the form of BNB last year and have been holding that. In addition to that, I personally think BNB is also a good coin that is backed by a big exchange. The only problem is that the chain is 60 percent centralized and that lies a risk. Otherwise, it is a good coin to hold and the price fluctuations are also very good to do swing trades.

7. BCH

I have been holding around 4 BCH in the last year that I received from Read.Cash website. The rewards on Read. Cash is not going to happen anymore as the reserves have drained out. Hopefully, there would be some funds to keep the site going. But I'm planning to hold my BCH tight for another year and see how things go.

8. XRP

From my early crypto days, I have been holding XRP. People have lots of hopes for XRP and I wanted to wait and see what is happening with this. There has been no improvement in the price of XRP even though the lawsuit against Ripple went well. Let's see if there is any movement in 2023.

9. JMPT

I have been getting some JMPT tokens via Honeygain. This is really interesting passive income and from what I observed the price of JMPT has also increased in the last year. I'm having some good hopes for JMPT and let's see how this goes. I'm not planning to invest further but just hold whatever I have.

10. ADA

Finally, this is on my list and I have no idea about Cardano. Hopefully, there should be a movement in the price of ADA at least in the next bull run so that I can exit from this. It is risky to hold a coin without knowing anything about the project. I had to purchase this based on a recommendation from my friend. He made double the profit but I was not that lucky. I have been holding the coin ever since.
