Passive income earning opportunities with coding skills

Even though we are going to be speaking about passive income in this article, there is also a considerable amount of effort required from individuals with coding skills. We can probably say that this is just a one-time effort and after the effort is done, the opportunity would let us keep going and let us earn passive income from our early efforts. Some of the biggest entrepreneurs would be doing something similar to get an early retirement with some proper planning.

We cannot stay up to date in the market to the latest trend. At one point in time, we have to stop looking for active sources of income and start looking for opportunities to earn passive income. As a developer staying up to date with the technology is not going to be an easy thing. Along with aging, we might also get memory issues and we may not be able to focus too much and stay competent in this changing world. One of the best ways to deal with this problem is to generate passive income with the coding skills we have. When we have the time we can generate the income and with that income, we can plan our long-term life.

Writing blogs and earning passive income

Blogs are passive income if we know how to use them. Earning from blogs is something that is an attractive and consistent option. Staying up to date with the technology is one of the important skills of a developer. Along with staying up to date, documenting them in the form of blogs is a great thing to do. We ourselves might need it at a later point in time if we forget it.

Good AdSense and other ad revenue programs and affiliate marketing is the best way to earn some passive income from our blogs. There can be some efforts during the initial stages but later after we are doing good and if we start getting more visitors to our website, then it becomes a passive income. The ads earning is mostly based on the visitors we get to our site. The blog need not be a technical thing. It can even be like a dev log where the developer shares their coding experience too. It doesn't really have to be strictly technical.

Training materials are a passive income

The next biggest thing in the learning world is the training materials. There are so many training materials missing for many stuff. Even if you can find 100 training materials for say Python, it may not be as good as what you would be able to give. That should be the mentality and if we can do something good, the positive attitude should always be towards the goal and not towards how important are they.

I know a few people who would argue saying that there are some paid courses and training materials in Udemy and only those materials are the best in the world. They pay a lot for training materials. People are not hesitant to pay and purchase their best training materials. Not all the materials that are available for free are up to the mark. I personally would like to pay for a few materials and learn something. Even though there is free stuff available, I would still like to purchase the paid material and learn from that. So preferences differ from one person to another.

The effort here is to create the training material only once. After it is done, it becomes more like a product generating you passive income. The number of times people purchase that would keep giving you passive income. The quality matters a lot in that.

Selling templates and plugins is a passive income

Templates and plugins are also similar to training materials. When I was using WordPress about 10 years back, I used to have a particular theme that was so good for me. I had most of my blogs in that theme and I was not hesitant to purchase that theme and plugin. The cost was very minimal and we have to pay only once to enjoy the theme. People are also generous and they also give donations.

I was once admired by another WordPress theme and as it was free, I found the developer's website and I wanted to give a small tip to the developer in the form of Buy Me a Coffee. That was the most inspiring thing for me and I wanted to do some community coding similar to that. These are some of the best ways in which we can generate good passive income.

My previous @v4vapp proposal has expired. I have a new one which is running but unfunded right now. I'm still running @v4vapp and all my other services.

I've just updated v4v.app and I'm getting ready for some exciting new features after the next hard fork.

Please consider asking your friends to vote for prop #265 or consider unvoting the return vote.

For understandable reasons in the current crypto climate it is harder to get funded by the DHF, I accept this so I'm asking a wider audience for help again. I'll also add that I power up Hive every day and usually power up larger amounts on 1st of the Month. I'm on Hive for ideological reasons much more than for only economic benefit.

Additionally you can also help with a vote for Brianoflondon's Witness using KeyChain or HiveSigner

If you have used v4v.app I'd really like to hear your feedback, and if you haven't I'd be happy to hear why or whether there are other things you want it to do.

I have added my support to your proposal. Nice work. I'm also a fan of Quasar and most of my apps are also built using Quasar. Hope someday we can reach out to each other if either of us is stuck on something. 😉🙂
