Arsenal vs Manchester United: An Unfriendly Friendly Match

I bought the match pass, so by this time tomorrow, I'll be tuning into the Arsenal website to watch my boys take on Manchester United. Safe to say I'm excited and despite the best efforts of @deniskj and fellow his Manchester United fans, I think Arsenal is going to have a sensational game.

Matches against Manchester United are always difficult to predict. There's a lot of history between the two clubs with bad blood typifying the relationship.

In any case, tomorrow's game, despite being a "friendly" by definition is going to a fiery contest between two massive clubs in England. There will be fireworks tomorrow and fans in the United States are going to witness it in real time.

I'm not going to be in USA but I'll be watching it live as well. I've gotten the match pass, so I'll be streaming it on my laptop and my friend is going to be around.

Analysis and Prediction

Manchester United have made some additions to their squad, so their fans will be expectant. Ten Hag will also want to put on a show for their fans, so they won't be pushovers.

At the same time, it is important to add that right now, the way we play, it's hard to see Manchester United get a hold of possession. They'll be restricted to fewer touches of the ball than they're used to but that doesn't mean they won't be dangerous.

Last season, we spent a lot of time with the ball at their home ground but we ended up being sucker punched. It was also on that day that David De Gea set a record for most saves in a PL match.

Tomorrow, De Gea won't be playing for Manchester United and neither will Onana, I predict but they'll still be a very dangerous team. We will have to take extreme caution tomorrow to ensure they don't hit us on the break like they're used to.

For us, I expect it to be business as usual. We'll play our normal game and try to squeeze the life out of our opponents.

We'll be tasked with breaking down a highly motivated low block that's complimented by a very athletic and effective forward. This means that all our forwards have a huge role to ensure we get the win and we can't afford to miss our chances.

Manchester United are a strong team with players capable of hurting us but I suspect that in this game that I must add has no bearing on the season, Arsenal will overpower Manchester United. This is not because I'm a fan but more because of the fact that we're more advanced in our project and we've had a longer preseason preparation.

In any case, I don't think that the result will be walloping. The result will depict a closer contest than the tie actually was but at the end of the day, it'll be lessons for both teams.

Final score will be Arsenal 2- 1 Manchester United. Until we meet again, up the Arsenal.

Men United did some damage, but it was just a preseason match. They did the same to Liverpool and collected 7 goals when they faced in the EPL fixture 🤣🤣. I just hope the Gunners do the same when they meet this coming season.

Manchester United didn't look impressive at all. The two goals were individual mistakes from an experiment. I think we will be right up there with Manchester City and Liverpool next season while Manchester United will once again struggle to enter the top 4 like they did last season.
