[Arc Plays | Post #1] Valorant: Gotta Go Fast With Neon!

(Edited)

Episode 4, Act 1 has been live for a month now and I have been having fun with Neon - Valorant's newest duelist who can make or break your team with her electric speed and abilities.

📜 Agent Profile:

Neon left her home in Manila to help Valorant Protocol with replicating the Alpha-Omega teleporter, since her bioelectricity can possibly be used as a power source.

⚡️ Abilities:

Passive: Energy

Neon consumes energy when using High Gear and Overdrive. She gains 25 Energy every time she kills an enemy agent.

Basic Abilities:

(C) Fast Lane

This ability looks like Phoenix's Blaze, minus the healing.

Fires two short electric blue lines forward on the ground. From there, walls of static electricity rise up.

You can use this to block the enemies vision but be mindful of when to use it as it could deal damage to your allies as well.

(Q) Relay Bolt

Neon instantly shoots a bolt that bounces once and electrifies the ground.

You should make use of this ability well. Anyone caught in the area can be concussed - that includes yourself, so be careful.

Signature Ability:

(E) High Gear

Do some zoomies! Neon uses up Energy to move at an increased speed. Do an electric slide using your alt fire/right click. It recharges after 2 enemy kills.

Keep in mind that moving fast = noisy steps. You can use this ability for different purposes: distract the enemy, relocate for a retake/offensive move or escape an area. Don't forget to turn it off after sprinting to save Energy.

Ultimate Ability:

(X) Overdrive

Gotta go faster? With this Ultimate ability, release a powerful and highly accurate lightning beam to take down enemies. This is fun to use but be mindful of the energy consumption and the damage fall off!

🤔 Final thoughts:

Using Neon is definitely fun play either alone or with friends. For competitive play in higher ranks, I'm honestly unsure if she fits the meta there but I can see her doing well in very offensive plays. If you have trigger happy fingers like me, best to learn how to control it especially when defending.

Have you tried Neon on Valorant? Let me know your thoughts too!

Valorant is probably nice if you like the fast paced combat of Counter Strike coupled with the skill based gameplay of Overwatch. Sadly I don't like either :P
