Wild Pass purchased and Unlocked Diamond League

Its been almost 2 days since the start of this season in the splinterlands game. For the first time, I have seen the option to buy the wild pass that will make me eligible to pay in wild format and the cost of this wild pass can be paid in different tokens. This is the first season this new mechanism has been implemented and I paid for the past using the voucher tokens. I believe that this is how the team is trying to bring more use cases for different tokens including vouchers and the cost was approximately $0.88 which I think is not too high and something that anyone would be fine to pay. Now onwards we will need to buy the wild pass if we want to play in wild format but for modern there is nothing like this and the validity of this pass is the current season.

I have unlocked one league today and ultimately I will go to Champion League which is going to be Champion 2 I believe. In the last couple of seasons I have ended up with the Champions 2 league and likewise in this season also I am trying to have the same league however with this league I did not get the maximum glint boost but it's fine. It is clear that the rewards are better in the higher league and those who are playing in champion one must be getting even better rewards. This is where the sps holding plays an important role because more sps holding means a better reward boost and the player will get a higher amount of glint tokens. This is the new token in the reward mechanism that can be used in the reward shop to buy different inventory and now they have also added multiple items available in the shop.

SPS Boost

Here are the details for the boost that I get for my in-game reward. Its 8.21X and there are multiple factors affecting this multiplier. Undoubtedly the SPS is the main component in this multiplier and apart from this, there are some other components also that are resulting in the boost calculation which can be seen on this page.

In a nutshell, I get over 8x on my reward but I still see a reduction in Glint reward distribution this season. I'm not sure of the region for this reduction in decision and reward but it is certainly low as compared to what I have got in the last couple of seasons. Maybe there is an alternative change that has been implemented in the game to have a balance between the reward distribution among the players.

I have not purchased any sps in the last week but still, I am trying to stake all that I earn through different ways in the game. It is my reinvesting strategy in the game that I will continue as it is but for the buying purpose there is a pause on the purchase unless I see stability in the price in the market and once it looks stable then I'll be buying a bigger bunch of SPS tokens and of course power them up to grow my holding. At this point, I don't see the stability of SPS price in the market and I think my decision to wait to buy and see the price fluctuation is good so far. I can't predict what price we are going to see in the market for S P S but surely this time I'm trying to make the most out of the available opportunity in the market because of the price volatility.

As this season had just started hence there was a lot of time to plan strategy and see how things should go forward. While the gaming is fun at the same time accumulation for more SPS tokens is also my strategy provided I get a better price in the market and this is the reason why I am keeping a tab on the price for SPS in the market.
