Say “NO” to child abortion.

I was in a conversation some weeks ago with a female friend. The conversation was a long one and I enjoyed the topic of discussion. It was about gender equality and rights. On her end and from her point of view, she was on the stand that women are the ones who own the child because she carried and cared for them in her womb for nine months.

Yeah, we all agree with that, women tried carrying the child in their womb, enduring the pains and inconvenience. But that still doesn’t mean she has the child.

A question is that, without a man, can she have the child in her womb? The answer is no. She just had the eggs but needed something to make it come alive and that’s in the hands of men. So with that, there is no way a woman can be the one claiming childbirth to herself alone.

I added that even men face a lot too, but it's just that women have theirs so obvious. What men undergo is just undervalued, apart from playing the role of giving a child to the woman and making it come to life, all of the care and wellbeing of both the infant and the mother herself are on the man. So who is facing the most?

The conversation concluded that both men and women are both responsible for childbirth and upbringing. And they both have their role to be played.

Why abortion?

Most times people tend to abort the child in their womb due to different reasons. As for some they might consider the pregnancy a mistake and not want to have a child from it. To some, it might be due to financial stress, since they are not financially capable of caring for the children at hand, not to talk of getting an additional one. In some situations we have young ladies and teenagers get into abortion too due to unwanted pregnancy at a young age.

In my opinion, all of these are not an excuse for abortion. No matter what the reason, I will never go with the idea of child abortion. I believe children are a gift from God, in as much as we can't even create an animal, not to talk of creating humans. We also have no right to take their life.

Many are looking for a child for their family, but they can't. Despite their wealth and good health, they still can't have one. If power, wealth, or health could give children then everyone in the world should have one.

Having a kid like I said is a decision made by both parties. And the child wouldn’t appear magically or spiritually in the woman’s womb. It's all a result of the relationship between both parties.

There is a reason for everything in life. The child God has given us, there is a reason for a good life, and in everything we do, there is a reason for happening.

Just like we were given birth and cared for by our parents, if they were asked how they got to give birth, feed, and raise a child to become a grown man, they won't have an exact answer.

Then why not allow the kids to live their lives and then work hard, be smart, and pray God should help? What if it was the best among the kids you just aborted?
